Got in a few months ago, but started taking it more seriously in the last month and a half.

Find a coin you really believe in. The tech, whitepaper and devs should all be strong. The community respectable, and one that can scale... And offers more than just p2p...

personally i'd sell the xrp for btc.

unless you're experienced, probably at least 20% of portfolio should be in btc at all times (unless some kind of eth/ltc/bch flip occurs, or we see binance offer fiat pairings for all coins). i'd say more like 40% btc but i wouldn't sell your other alts at these prices.
