Not all autos are depreciating assets. I've been restoring and driving vintage autos for a while, if you find a good not rusty desirable muscle car or whatever vintage vehicle you like you can expect a 3-5% appreciation in value per year. Keep it stock or at least tasteful, drive it on weekends and have a norman car for daily driving.

>is there anything better than a Tesla?

I have a 2015 Tesla P85D. It's a great daily driver. I recently took it in for service and was given the newest Model S. The new model is complete garbage.

Other than the extra 100 miles range, everything else is worse. The autopilot and sensor are worthless in OS 2.0. The back seat benches are terrible compared to the old back seat buckets. It's just a worse car.

If you are going to get a Tesla, get an early 2015. You can pick one up for about $55-$60k versus more than double for new. I was considering the upgrade, but I'm not paying another $70k to get a car that is objectively worse than the one i have.

- All new hotchkiss suspension

- 19" American racing rims in the rear, 18" in the front

I truly dont understand why the fuck people like this new subaru.. it looks like a fucking CRV
Also, For the fucking STI version they want fucking 40-45,000$.
I walked into the stealership and asked to drive one, took it out sure its nice, but when i got the paperwork and he said 45,000$ out the door.
I laughed and asked if he was serious, for 45k im buying a BMW, Audi or a Merc.. Not a goddammed turbo'd sedan.
They are insane. This car is not worth that price point in any fucking world.

for 45,000 you go buy a 2005 wrx sti in blue with gold rims and give that bitch 800 whp and full cage, dirt setup and a good tune.
Then it will be worth 30g's... and actually not suck cock, and you'll have 15grand left over.

Seriously. They are insane asking that much for a simple AWD turbo sedan, fucking insane.

Agreed. And the EJ257 is old as dirt. They do have insane resale values though. Sold my 2006 STI with 180k+ miles on it for $10k and used that to buy a 2017 WRX.

No need for the STI, the extra $15k isn't worth the slightly better engine, more agressive tune, and mild mods. I get 32mpg vs. 18 in the STI (matters because where I live has only one gas station with 93 octane, so range mattered and my STI was tuned). I do miss the torque of the STI, but with some crypto gains in the future, I'll buy something way better than a $45k Subaru sedan.

I don't sit in the back of MY car. I don't give a shit what the rear seat is like.

I've had to get enough shit replaced on my 2017. There's no way in hell I'd buy an older Tesla which is going to be less reliable parts wise, and certainly not one with the ugly ass black nose cone.
