Cost of mining a btc is around 4-5 k with a commercial costs. Most of (them) use even cheaper electricity, so their costs can be as low as 2-3k, again assuming commercial asic mining rigs.

What misleads everyone about true mining costs is that nobody factors in the compounded cost to the miners per hash, or, what it costs them to stay in the market while simultaneously keeping the wheels turning.
