Would anyone buy a rotating phone case to make it easier when you want to browse in landscape mode or watch a video?

Just a phone case that rotates into landscape mode without having to move your whole arm/wrist. All you would do is click on the side buttons that activates the mechanics. It's my solution to making phone use feel more intuitive.

Sounds a bit clunky for everyday use... Could be useful for one-handed operation maybe

Used to work in a phone store, i'd say as long as it was similiar price to the rest of them and was still a decent case regardless, then I could see people buying them.

There's a such thing as a perfect design for this concept. I'm just curious if this might be something people could want or if it's a non issue.

Ps don't tag along on my selling tone. Kinda being a downer.

I'm not sure if people have recognized this as an issue. I regularly spend hours using my phone so I've caught on but my heavy use might be too abnormal.

I'm creating a peer to peer rental service at the moment, but although i have all the basics and admin stuff all down and set.

Im just starting the promotion and trying to build funds for the project, which im finding fucking hard.

Currently thinking of just getting shitty youtube video's and posting them on the facebook page, to gain free likes and shares for my business page because people are stupid and just go 'hay lol funny video'. I got no idea what to do with the twitter cause i have never used twitter before, so im just going to post shit, and my actual website is up with a basic landing page.

Any good ideas how to get some exposure for my business idea?

Once i got a fair bit of interest/followers on facebook or twitter ive got my kickstarter ready to go, but i want a base i can ask for funds first (i need around $3k).

Any ideas? Because im pretty stuck with that...

Most places that do phones with phone contracts help them choose accessories. It's not something people would wake up one day and decide to buy, more likely they would buy it along with their phone if they were in the store anyway. It's a complementary item, not an essential one.

I've done my own market research on phone cases.

In 2012 it registered as a 20 billion dollar industry. By 2017 it's projected to grow to 38 billion dollars.

Just under 50% of phone cases are bought in person when the phone is bought. The prices here are often 3 times the cost of their normal price. The rest of the purchases are done through amazon, ebay, etsy, etc.

There is definitely money to be made in this industry.

Also , little anecdotw. My phone broke 2 weeks ago on vacation. Got a new one, I got a phone case that cost nearly 30 bucks on the spot knowing full well the same one online would be a few dollars.

Convenience.

Although I dont see a startup breaking into that space you know

That sounds like the stupidest fucking idea I've ever heard of

Are you thirteen or something?

Anyway, here is a more general point about business ideas. I would guess that about 99% of people with decent business ideas are those who already have some experience of the industry that they wish to launch in - not necessarily working in that industry, but just some first-hand experience of it. That's pretty much the only way that you can have a good, well-informed idea, and the necessary expertise to make it a reality. Pulling random ideas out of your arse is never going to work.

From what I understand, in the US, the creditors get a stab at the assets before descendants do, unless the assets are properly tucked away in a trust fund or some other entity.

If the person doesn't have shit, the creditors just write it off as bad debt.

I'm a fucking student though, im not just a neet with time and money to spend, i have 3 jobs and im paying my way through uni without getting any debts, while paying my rent weekly in a share house, while buying food and essentials, while paying for rego and fuel for my motorbike, while paying money to play team sports.

Like, im living my life at the moment making pretty much no savings and spending pretty much all my time, i got very little down time. The good thing is that at the end of my degree in 2 years, im debt free and its only uphill from there.

Hence why i need some funding to get the project underway, 3k is a fair bit for me at the moment, its pretty much all of my current savings from the past 2 1/2 years.

If you read between the lines here, he's saying don't put it into a trust fund where the tax man can see it easily. Hand down your wealth in other ways. Use your imagination.

I'm doing the same thing right now except I have the funds to start it myself. I designed a game and it's already been a success with pre-orders, but I need $10k to get the initial order done. So instead of putting my own cash, I'm going to get enough pre-orders or facebook likes so when I launch the kickstarter, I don't have to worry about enough people seeing it.

$3k is easy to save though. Depending on your idea, you could find an investor fairly easily. I've invested into several small business my friends have come up with over the years. If you are serious, I'm willing to hear you out.

I'm not a huge fan of investors for the reason that there is someone looking over your back, and somewhat expecting you to succeed and pay them out, where i cant promise that and would feel bad if it collapsed. That's the reason i don't mind the idea of a kickstarter, simply because they are donations as opposed to investments, people suggested circleup, but unless i think i can make it successful and can prove it, ill steer clear of that.

Pretty much, number one goal right now is getting a fuckload of followers on twitter and facebook, and ill go from there.
