finally a real question. right now it's very much up in the air, but I also have a comfy 6 figure wage cuck job at a major financial institution, so I do have an opinion on this.

there's 3 types of cryptos - currencies, privacy currencies, and platforms. 2 of these have a future.

banks and money transmitters are already releasing free/instant money transmission products due to the competition cryptos brought, so I doubt currencies have a bright future. at the end of the day, there is no reason currencies should "moon" in value too, this is NOT a good trait for a currency, plus if they get too popular, the govn'ts will cull them to protect their native fiat currencies. privacy coins and platforms/smart contracts, now they have a bright future.

>> No.8147764

>>8147694
yeah, never hold shitcoins long term. always take profits into fiat and ETH or BTC depending on your alliances. alts NEVER survive bear markets but ETH and BTC will always gain their value back eventually. my worst trades and biggest losses were on alts in 2015, VTC specifically, fuck that coin. always sell at the top of a big pump because it will likely never reach that point again if you're dealing with an alt.

Just empty the clip - stick it to your head. Honestly imagine, visualize you're in a situation where quantum foam spontaneously does materialize a bullet in that chamber (you don't know) and when / if you pull the trigger if you even hear the hammer strike it's going to spread your childhood memories over your wall.

Stay in that moment for a bit. Stay in the peace of it. Ask yourself if you can do it. If you just want to end it. If you don't, fine. However if some time you're engaged in this exercise and you do - see this - you hear the hammer click, then just silence.

You're on bonus time now - you were quite prepared at that moment to throw this all away. All the time you have now is free to mess up - because you were willing to throw it all away. You have no pressures - nothing to lose - so just see what you can do - the old you with all his issues is dead now you're a living ghost...

*shrugs*

Or if you're really going to do it put a plastic bag on your head first - you have no idea how grateful whoever has to clean it up will be about that...

I have about a quarter million in crypto currently but almost hit $400k during the december/january bull market. I'm not at all worried about it because it's mostly in ETH, one of the few safe long term holds. risk management is 90% of my time when trading, I never risk more than a few thousand on the risky stuff. during a bull market you can turn 2-3k into 10k easily, multiple times if you are good and that can feed your short term gains while consolidating into long term holds like ETH/BTC or fiat.

don't daytrade and hold good long terms or promising short terms. when shill levels on biz get to high, it's time to sell.

link is too much of a meme to succeed plain and simple. because money is not a problem for me, I would be okay risking a smallish stake (like $1k) in something like link just on the off chance it moons and I could 5-10x it, but at the end of the day it's an ERC20 token and not a platform or a big mover. it will never compete in the top 10 cryptos but maybe down the line it could become a working product.

same with RLC. I don't risk more than $1-2k on any alts which is only a fraction of my portfolio at any given time. big and influential dapps probably have a few years before they come to fruition.

is isn't. a smart contract just needs to be something that does exactly what it's supposed to do as a trustless network transaction. plus there's the oracle problem.

the most promising smart contract use case I've seen is real estate transactions and crowdfunded mortgages. the county could track ownership and deeds through smart transactions and the people could get $2k from 100 people instead of $200k from 1 bank. it's still a ways out, but it is something the large mortgage lenders are going to have to compete with. also supply chain management through block chain is extremely promising.

I missed the REQ rocket and HST, I almost bought it but I think it's a few years before its time. I'd probably accumulate some, but not much if you can afford it and hope it moons a year or two from now.

I bought a few thousand in alts before the bear market started and am down about $1500 from them, but I am not selling. If the bear market continues for much longer though, all that money will be gone.

now is the time to buy low cap, promising coins. every coin gains during a bull markets and all the shit coins die during the bear markets. buy the promising alts now while you can before the next bull cycle, look at pure fundamentals and stuff with good volumes. you'll probably need to read their bitcointalk threads too, avoid shill hangouts like biz and reddit when making buying decisions.

I'm not very good at giving advice, but I can share two pieces of advice based on my experience.

1. Get help and more importantly, get meds. You think you're depressed because of your life situation, but you're not. I got depression because my life sucked really bad a few years ago and all it took to get me out were meds. It's magic.

2. Once you have meds you can make it. You won't be super rich but you have a shot at an okay comfy life. Pic related is where I grew up. I left years ago before it went to utter shit, but it was already pretty bad. Moved to a developed country where everyone looks down on me because of where I'm from and the accent. I work as a security guard. It's not a lot of money but I get enough to go by and send some back home and put some in crypto. I won't be a millionaire but I'll have savings when I retire and that's more than 90% of the people on this planet.

teachers are shit on so I think they deserve better wages and working conditions. I think it's a complicated issue though. I a developer by trade so education brought me to where I am today, so I am also biased there.

money has changed me a little, but not much. I understand the importance of education now, but know that a lot of people just aren't capable of what they aspire to. college is too expensive for everyone to go, people should unironically go into trades more, and if we keep shitting on teachers and keep hiring pedophile sociopathic school administrators, it will only get worse.

I lean financially to the right now because a 4% break on taxes for me is literally thousands of dollars in savings, but I lean to the left on everything else generally.

I've even made some link OC myself, I do enjoy the memes but I didn't know people were actually this deluded in real life. getting maki out of this background and recreating one of the stop lights was fucking hell.

I’m surprised you have low confidence considering training muy Thai should give that to you. If everyone tells you this, you should believe them.

You probably went through something traumatic or were abandoned. Everyone has a hand they were dealt. We all have problems like you. It’s not a cliche.

Whatever happened, you gotta forgive yourself man. You’re trying your best. Get a job. Get 2. I had 2 in college. And make your goal to finish with those last 3 classes.
