there's 3 types of cryptos - currencies, privacy currencies, and platforms. 2 of these have a future.

banks and money transmitters are already releasing free/instant money transmission products due to the competition cryptos brought, so I doubt currencies have a bright future. at the end of the day, there is no reason currencies should "moon" in value too, this is NOT a good trait for a currency, plus if they get too popular, the govn'ts will cull them to protect their native fiat currencies. privacy coins and platforms/smart contracts, now they have a bright future.

I have about a quarter million in crypto currently but almost hit $400k during the december/january bull market. I'm not at all worried about it because it's mostly in ETH, one of the few safe long term holds. risk management is 90% of my time when trading, I never risk more than a few thousand on the risky stuff. during a bull market you can turn 2-3k into 10k easily, multiple times if you are good and that can feed your short term gains while consolidating into long term holds like ETH/BTC or fiat.

don't daytrade and hold good long terms or promising short terms. when shill levels on biz get to high, it's time to sell.

link is too much of a meme to succeed plain and simple. because money is not a problem for me, I would be okay risking a smallish stake (like $1k) in something like link just on the off chance it moons and I could 5-10x it, but at the end of the day it's an ERC20 token and not a platform or a big mover. it will never compete in the top 10 cryptos but maybe down the line it could become a working product.

same with RLC. I don't risk more than $1-2k on any alts which is only a fraction of my portfolio at any given time. big and influential dapps probably have a few years before they come to fruition.

I'm not very good at giving advice, but I can share two pieces of advice based on my experience.

1. Get help and more importantly, get meds. You think you're depressed because of your life situation, but you're not. I got depression because my life sucked really bad a few years ago and all it took to get me out were meds. It's magic.

2. Once you have meds you can make it. You won't be super rich but you have a shot at an okay comfy life. Pic related is where I grew up. I left years ago before it went to utter shit, but it was already pretty bad. Moved to a developed country where everyone looks down on me because of where I'm from and the accent. I work as a security guard. It's not a lot of money but I get enough to go by and send some back home and put some in crypto. I won't be a millionaire but I'll have savings when I retire and that's more than 90% of the people on this planet.
