Wrong. Look at this, written by Tom Gosner (DocuSign founder): https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/smart-contracts-deals-without-lawyers-tom-gonser/
>Where will the data come from to connect smart contracts to the data they need to make decisions? How will we know we can rely on these data sources?
>Do smart contracts require a decentralized "trust-less" block chain to operate? Or can these same contracts be built on ‘trusted’ networks?
He says "blockchain" but he means oracle. SERGEY WILL ABSOLUTELY BE TALKING ABOUT CHAINLINK. He is there to discuss decentralised oracles, and how that all fits in to getting rid of lawyers.

>> No.8115616

>>8115562
Just to emphasise my point, Gosner's post also says
>Finally, we’ll hear from Sergey Nasarov, CEO of Smartcontract.com about the importance of oracles to get data in and out of smart contracts securely.
That explicitly states that the purpose of Sergey being there is to talk about decentralised oracles. I would be highly surprised if he didn't mention LINK, when he is there to talk about the importance of decentralised oracles for smart contracts.

I don't think there will be any announcements because it's a panel. I don't think people make announcements at panel discussions. Maybe I'm wrong. However, Gosner says in that post that smart contracts will be
>Highly secure, managed using encryption and digital signature technology
So I'm quite sure that DocuSign wants in on smart contracts. Combined with the fact that Sergey was hinting at being involved with "e-signature" companies in an interview he gave, I'm 99% sure that Docusign and SmartContract.com are working together already.

But you'd be wrong thinking that docusign is going to "announce their own blockchain". That doesn't make sense, why would they need a blockchain for e-signatures??

>Gosner: What I do at Seven Peaks is focus on new and innovative companies in spaces that I know. If you look at the digital transformation bubble and everything from what DocuSign does, there’s lots of branches from that. ... For me, from an investment opportunity perspective, it’s natural to be looking at who’s inventing these new things, whether that’s identity technology, identity management, the innovations on blockchain technology, smart contracts, payments — those are all areas that I’m pretty familiar with. It’s kind of natural to be looking at those markets and those companies and also looking at this from a DocuSign strategy perspective, so they fit together pretty well.

>GeekWire: What’s your role at DocuSign these days?

>Tom Gonser: “I’m on the board, so pretty active in that regard. I spent quite a bit of time just talking long term strategy with the CEO and a lot of the execs. I’m still pretty connected to a lot of people in the company

seriously though OP, im about to start my daily LINK meditation. heres my routine:

first, i collect fibres for my "nest", i go around my 1 bedroom apartment (i can see my toilet from my kitchen, its really neat) on my hands and knees and collect fibres. its best to use a dog grooming glove for this if you have one handy. i collect about a couple of handfuls of dog hair, pubic hair and that sort of thing, you really want to get into those corners and get the dust. luckily i started balding some time ago so i have heaps of hair that falls out just laying around ripe for the picking. ive started asking the other neighbours in my block to give me the dust from their vacuum cleaners and you can get ALL kinds of fibres from that and best of all its free. youd be surprised what people will throw away.

after ive collected the materials, i form it into a rough bagel shape (yes, im jewish) and you pat it all down so that its nice and compacted. you DONT want this stuff getting up your nostrils (mine are huge). after that is finished i sit cross-legged in the nest and do about 30-45 minutes of primal screaming. its really simple, you just inhale as far as you can and scream as loud as you can until you cant any more, then repeat. my guilty pleasure is to pretend that im screaming at arnold schwarzenegger or werner von braun when really i should be focussing on LINK. i just cant help myself heh. by the end of it you get really dizzy, but that might just be because i have high blood pressure. considering it only takes about an hour im still flabbergasted when i hear that people dont meditate every day.

Yeah, that is what I think is the reason as well. They are switching to Golang to achieve greater interoperability with hyperledger. Seems like a big bet of six months of development time if you just are hoping that hyperledger would use you. Unless they already have customers waiting on hyperledger and Golang is required to provide the level of service that they have committed to.

Is there any other explanation that I haven't thought of?
