Does everyone eventually get banned from AdSense? Are there more reliable alternatives?

there are about a million other ad networks.

if you're driving a lot of revenue for a small network they might treat you better.

you could also diversify and have multiple at networks but you won't get as much special treatment if you're big.

I've had sucess with lanista and adkarma.
But they require results before they take you on.
My two cents.

What do you get banned for? I have an idea for how I can do a much better version of an existing website type but am worried about 1) how to get users 2) monetizing with ads.

How much can one expect to make with AdSense with a fairly popular blog?

a few hundred, maybe even thousands

Getting users is the hardest part. It's like any business, you need to advertise. You see people on Youtube and shit promoting their mixtape? It's annoying as fuck but that's how they're trying to get out there. Post to imageboards (not 4chan, keep your spam away) and send it out to friends. My friend makes 10k a year from AdSense and he promoted by dropping slips of paper with the url on it everywhere he went. Hope you find something that works, friend.

Google has their terms of service, but their banning algorithm (no humans are involved in the process) is seemingly random. I'd be very wary of relying on AdSense for revenue.
