I've had a similar experience in the past.
Marketing team of the company I work for s̶h̶i̶l̶l̶e̶d̶ marketed a non-existent project to a client, based on what they heard from a project manager describing a concept.

Client wanted it by next week, it was Friday afternoon. Worked all day and all night weekends with barely any sleep to produce a working prototype product.

Anyway, you have it easy. Just make an ERC20 token then schedule the "mainnet release" later.
