Now there's a leap in assuming you couldn't be intelligent and lazy. To an extent, OP confuses intelligence with wisdom. It's better to say that if you're poor, you made stupid choices. Whether those choices are because you're born stupid or because you waste your potential, it is what it is.

Well yeah I understand that. But there are multiple types of intelligence and there are situations where you could end up either poor or rich because of it.

Lets say you are a savant at drawing, but just a 100 IQ average person in every other aspect. You'd make some great pieces of art over in North Korea when you weren't out farming dirt, and never really achieve anything of note.

In America you could at best cater to elitist snobs and make some piece of shit they can buy for 3 mil to launder money, and at worst you could be raking in a decent living income doing commissions of furry porn and getting patreon donations.

Capitalism just allows people to turn talents into money. So a lot of people who are really talented in just one little aspect can get very rich under capitalism, and they otherwise would not have had the brain power to figure out how to do that in any other situation.
