Can someone explain to me what is meant when they say they can prove their data wasn't tampered using cryptographic proofs? I feel like that's all good and well until someone from Oracleize gets paid off to spoof a proof for data being fed into a god-tier contract. Surely they could just construct a fake API feed with the data they want to inject, pass it through Oracleize, show a 'proof' it wasn't tampered with and then trigger the contract.

Meanwhile if you have decentralized oracles that could never work as the spoofed data would never match with what the other nodes were delivering, no matter how proofs you tried to give the contract to show the data was untampered.
