So can you explain why you aren't investing in Africa?

> Huge potential for growth across the continent.
>Huge banking initiatives to finance infrastructure spending
> Land mass the size of the US, India, China & Europe combined.
> Trillions of dollars in untapped minerals
> Billions of Dollars in untapped Oil & Gas
> Huge Inga project underway to build the largest hydro-electric damn in the world, larger than the Chinese.
>The project alone has enough production potential to power half of Africa
> Huge mass of cheap labour
> Free trade areas being discussed by the 5 regional blocs similar to the European model.
> Logistical potential huge
> ICT potential huge
> Energy production potential is huge.
> Huge growth levels across the continent even with huge energy deficiencies
> Minimal political difficulties

Just lol at trying to break into China.

>Cheap labour
Some of the most unskilled labour with no skills.
>Logistical potential huge
Borderline impossible without heavy security-very costly
>Minimal political difficulties
You can't be serious-do you know the turnover of governments since the 80's?

Yeah basically the problem is:

Little to no taxes collected- lack of institutions and if there is, use intimidation to get money-lack of property rights-little investment-no growth

Funny enough the most viable businesses from a single entity outside the continent are tobacco and cotton plantations

Alot of my burley comes from malawi and I met a chap on reddit eho has a cotton plantation

Your just "renting" the land and then own the harvest so even if a thug comes in you arent out too much

The Chinese are already working on it. My mother works in the financial department of a Catholic organization, and occassionally priests from their missions around the world will come in and give presentations on what they do. One of the most striking things she remembered from one individual priest that they discussed over lunch was how the Chinese are essentially coming in to harvest resources, then walling off their employees from the local area with what amounts to a microcosm economy. They extract all the resources without *any* of that money going into the local african economy, then the Chinese workers go back and spend the rest in China.

I can't remember what company or country, but there was an instance where one of the massive American companies started working, I think in Sierra Leone. They ended up building a walled off complex, and for a while had veto rights in the government and basically ran it. Things started going well until people whined, and africans got full control back, and the whole country tanked again. The complex was apparently 100% ebola free during the most recent outbreak because they had the manpower, will, and smarts to lock anybody else from coming in without extremely tight checks.

Walled off complexes that protect themselves seem to be a running theme with success in Africa, for good reason.

Black Caribbean guy here

Africans are terrible people, corrupt, hate education, see the government as a huge cash cow, weird practices, I could go on. Invest in the Caribbean, nice weather, generally undeveloped, stable because we kept the Queen as head of state and English ways of doing things because we don't really have any other root culture. You could open up a small hotel in Jamaica and make money right now. Or if you have more money invest in one of the growing infrastructure projects, Jamaica only recently built a six-lane motorway network in 2005, before that it was all 2 lane roads which hadn't been updated since the days of the Spanish conquistadors that were cracking or part dirt. One other thing is that when i was last in Jamaica everyone had the same car (white Toyota hatchback) therefore there is huge opportunity for importing cars. Never seen a BMW there and we all know how blacks go gaga over BMWs

Also we don't really have a problem with whites. Africans hate whites with a passion and will just take your business and torture you to death for being a "white imperialist" as >>778365 said

I came to this thread just to say "Black people" but it sounds like the Chinese have found away around that issue.
This sounds really marvellous.

Are there any documentaries on the subject? I'd be interested in getting involved with some no-brainer precious metals gig, maybe starting it myself.

afroca is fully owned by whites and asian and fully secure by private military contractors ,infact you cant call yourself a true PMC if you havent killed a nignog. if you cant make lets say 1 mil (and i am being nice here ) in the US you wont be able to access the rights people to make money of Africa

It's already been sucked dry by all the colonists back in the day, obviously one of the main reasons why it's such a poor country is the terrible flu and virus it burst out from it's own homeland. It's rich in resources.Governments that have money have been investing in human trafficking, corruption, and rare earth minerals. Just know that any person can obviously see this. It's terrible that their own governments are shadow governments.

>> No.778582

I really love visiting Africa and wish I could think of a way to live there while earning money. But despite the huge amount of cheap labour it's pretty obvious why there isn't much going on economically: terrible infrastructure, terrible governments, terrible education.

I'm not sure why the anglo-Caribbean seems under-developed in terms of tourism (some small spots excepted). I was in Belize for a month last year and it was so nice to be able to 'live like a local' in English.

What investment opportunities are there in the caribbean?

I think there is only one stock exchange in the Caribbean and most of the stocks on the exchange are illiquid anyway.

Most of the independent islands only survive because of the healthy tourism industry.
What other industries are there that have good upscale?

In my opinion one needs an abundance of capital in order to invest in the region since you will need to directly invest.

Thoughts? I am speaking from my experience living on one of these islands.

Sucked dry of what? It still has virtually all of its natural resources. Sounds more like you're subscribing to the 'white colonialists are the devil and caused everything wrong in the world' narrative that all the liberal media outlets have been peddling lately.

The governments in Africa are corrupt. The US and Europe actually do their best to keep those governments in power because a weak state to exploit is much better than a strong state. I mean this in a realistic, non-liberal view. There are some African countries who are thriving economies. I think its Botswana or one of those countries near South Africa that is a rising economy with its main export being diamonds and oil. ITs not Angola. Also the map lines in Africa are not real for the people in Africa. Most of them live in ethno-religious lines. Sudan for example has 420 languages.
