Helmet therapy, or the use of a cranial orthosis, is a type of treatment prescribed for infants to help correct the baby's skull shape. Helmets work by directing growth from the flat spot, but they must be worn during the time when the skull (and therefore the brain) is actively growing. Best guess is the whole family is supporting him by trying to do similar so he doesn’t feel alone/different. It’s a serious condition that can have dire consequences.

I never knew this existed until just now. Now I have learned something new today. It kinda makes me happy that our society has progressed so far that we can detect this in advance and treat it, so somebody can live a fun and fulfilling life without being mocked for his or hers deformities. :)
