Who here figured out what they want to do career wise?

> 28, currently moved back home to figure out which masters degree to get
> realize I don't give a fuck about anything in life and crypto has been my only enjoyment
> lost a decent paying job and 1 bedroom and now 400 miles back home
> hate my existence

I was thinking about Finance because I love crypto but then I started reading about how shitty and competitive it is and I don't do well with stress

Anyone figured something out that was cool? Help please.

>figure out which masters degree to get
You fucked up anon. Only get a masters when a ROI is in sight. Step 1. GTFO of your momma's house. Step 2. Get a job and a shitbox apartment. Step 3. Wagecuck and buy the dip.

I'm going into public administration.
I need to help recuperate America after Trump.

That's what I was doing and I was content. Had a decent job, and my own 1 bedroom while waiting for crypto to go up.

Honestly? I got mixed up with some bad folks last year who did shady shit. Did some things not proud of (got out of it and learned not to be that guy), blurted out to my parents who freaked out. Said you need to move out the city, be home, go back to school etc.

So I did that for them, and now I fucking hate everything and don't know what to do.

Thanks for replying though.

>listening to parents
>28 and in crypto
You were doing fucking fine. Parents don't realize the potential of ETH and other coins. This is a once in a decade opportunity and you probably didn't miss the whole thing.
If there's no one out to get you and you're clean then just handle your own shit. Since you already quit, use your time to get a job in a different city for a fresh start.

Glad you got it together anon! I guess your parents just overreacted over the shit you did and got scared, so they want you near them. But since you're 28 it would probably be better to stay independent. Just stay out of trouble anon.

I'm in the same boat minus the getting mixed up with bad people. I don't fucking know

can you give me a quick rundown? Is that a degree with which you can actually get a job?

Where is your head at currenty?

>>7640288
Thanks anon. Yeah I guess they did but I tried telling them everything was ok. Nothing except physically relocating did it I guess.

>>7640283
Yeah I guess I was doing fine. Nah I'm clean and nobody out to get me. It's been a while.

My previous employer I was still really close with. They have a location in my area. My contact them to go back maybe. Thanks anon.

where's my head at? Well I majored in political science and since college have really only worked in customer service and sales, hated both. Currently unemployed at the end of my rope, can't even do postmates or uber or anything because of a DUI. I'm fucked basically, I can probably get another sales job but they suck so bad and I know I'd get fired again

Ropes are you fucking loser. Stop whining and get your shit together. Life isnt just cool. I‘d have fired you too if i had been your boss. Also, you‘re too old to get a masters degree now. Nobody wants 30+ guys with fresh masters because that means they‘ve been slacking around for years, predicting precisely what they‘re going to do once they sit in your office.

In pretty exact the same boat as you mate, except the bad people. 28, living with my parents right now. I‘ve got a job after finishing my bachelor‘s last year but it isn‘t what I imagined. During my bachelor’s I was sure I’m going to get a master’s degree as well but now I have no idea what I want to do with my life. Hopeful that I will make it with crypto but that doesn‘t help with the lack of goal.

> get masters degree after bachelors
> need work experience (not hired)
> get work experience
> too old

What the fuck is the point then? And FYI I was actually really good at my job. I just had to pack my shit up and leave because of my parents tripping out
>>7640553
I got a marketing degree. Congrats, we both have shit tier degrees and got memed. I also worked shitty Customer service and sales Jobs. I did postmates and it was shit.

Damn I feel you. That's why I was looking at Finance because maybe that is something we would be into atleast since we're really into crypto?

But then I read online on Reddit that it's high stress, shitty, only ivy leaguers get good jobs, etc. So now I don't know.

M.Sc. in Finance right here. AMA you want to know about it

Nice. Thanks man.
1) What do you do specifically?
2) What degree did you have before?
3) Age and salary?
4) 1-10 level of content in life
5) 1-10 level of daily work stress
6) Do you think being someone who is into crypto 24/7, would that mindset even matter or translate over to being into Finance, or is crypto miniscule in comparison
7) Why did you go into Finance?

>> No.7640791

>>7640659
Yeah I thought about that as well, but I’m also not that good with stress. I like working, but I need balance. I would burn out pretty fast if I had to work over 50 hours per week on a regular basis. Thinking about getting a chemistry degree or something like that but that would be out of personal interest and not so much in terms of job opportunities. Quite the opposite, it would likely make it harder.

1) Venture Capital / Private Equity
2) B.Sc. in Business Administration
3) 26, 60k EUR/year before taxes, just started some months ago
4) 7-8, life is good because I started earning money, but the job can be stressful and I need to perform
5) That depends on what you compare it to. I sit at the computer and talk to partners and potential investment targets. Its not difficult, but the hours are long and my boss is pretty demanding. I give it a 7. Colleagues are great tho.
6) Crypto is very very small and people in Finance do not take it very seriously (yet), at least over here at my firm. I think if you are into day trading, then derivatives or stock trading might be for you. The trading part ist very similar. "Real" trading is much more complicated tho, because you have financial products that you have to price on your own that are much more complex that just going long/short.
VC/PE is very similar to investing in ICOs or shitcoins. I read whitepapers, I do due dilligence, I do market research, competition research, these kinds of things. We get tons of applications from start-ups each week and it its very similar to picking out a coin to invest.
7) I went into Finance because I am very good with numbers, math, tables, I think I can offer the combination of analytical skills and soft skills that is required in the business world. In VC/PE, you have very close contacts to you investors and to your investment targets and being representable and on point is just as important as being financially competent. In the end, I love investing into future technology. I am tech savvy enough to be able to rate and compare innovative companies, but I am not tech savvy enough to innovate myself.
