How much do memes affect cryptocurrency markets? Since crypto is the first emerging digital asset class, this is really the first market that originates and stays exclusively on the internet. Thus, one has to assume that meme magic has a larger influence in this relatively new market compared to a mature one such as stocks and other asset classes.

Case in point. It begs the question then, can coordinated meme campaigns have the power to move crypto markets?

people here buy and sell based exclusively on memes. a lot of people have never read a white paper (i havent) or even know what the fuck the purpose of crypto is in general. memes are literally driving this end of the digital economy with as much power as superbowl advertisements, the main difference being that you dont need 5 million dollars for a 30 second ad - you just need microsoft paint, autism and a lot of free time
