Can we have serious link thread?

I have 70% of my portfolio in chainlink. I am certain thar Sergei will deliver, but that if they simply won't find any cluents, who will use thir technology? There is no prof of partnership with swift. If it was to be made why they did not partner with swift from the begining?

Here's another way to completely justify holding LINK.

The entire market is going up. Hence the 20 trillion by 2020 meme.

So as long as you hold any crypto and don't touch it's going to trend upwards. The only exception would be true exit scams like bitconnect or Coinomi. Even DOGE which is completely useless is slowly gaining in USD value.

You may as well hold LINK. It's value will rise with the market, but in addition to following the market it could explode.

That's a nice shill you got there, but I won't be buying this scam.

Notice how when people talk about partnerships with coins like WTC, OMG and MOBI, they just flat out say

"Mobius is partnered with WTC"

But with LINK it's like:

"Guys I just found some emails from IBM where some devs briefly mentioned ChainLink but then talked about and were more interested in hyperledger. But they did mention ChainLink!!!"

Every time LINK partnerships are discussed, it's always this read between the lines crap that no other legit coin has to do. When ETH, NEO, WTC, OMG, etc. Partner with someone, they just fucking say it. LINK never does that because they have no partners and the people that look at it, like IBM decide it's not a good solution, if it even were to exist, so they will not use it.

LINK is dead, they have no partnerships, and it doesn't look like any are coming down the pipe. And before you say but muh SWIFT, swift did a tiny PoC with smartcontract.com

While Sergey does own smart contract.com, it is completely different from LINK. Totally different product. There has been zero interaction between swift or anyone who has used smart contract.com and ChainLink.

If there was, it would have been announced, like MOBI announced partnership with WTC.

But hey, keep digging through those emails looking for people who briefly mentioned ChainLink once, I'm sure that will send you to the moon. Meanwhile, I'll be enjoying my mobi with legit and announced partnerships.

I literally had a dream I was watching a new Sergey talk last night, this is really getting out of hand for me, on top of the quads, trips and dubs I have received in link threads.

On the one hand I can see links full potential being between $1-$5 for all time. On the other hand I desperately want to see it grow to $50.

I'm starting to suffer actual disassociations from reality while daydreaming about a fully adopted abd operation link node ecosystem, which would push link to the upper limits of its speculative value.

It is all so tiring.

Companies have all sorts of contracts for all sorts of things (obviously) but the legal system never works like it's supposed to. Let’s say you agree a contract to sell a table, say, for $20 next week. You give the guy the table but next week he doesn’t pay. Are you really going to take the buyer to court even though he legally owes you the money?

This kind of thing happens on a huge scale between companies. If they do decide to go to court it's expensive and wastes time. Usually, the side who’s owed money settles out of court for much less than they’re owed.

This is where smart contracts come in. Smart contracts are basically code that executes a contract when conditions are met. An example might be “I'll buy $100 of bonds if the base interest rate hits 1%”.

Once agreed, a smart contract will execute as written, no matter what. No one can fuck each other over once the contract is agreed (unless they BOTH agree).

What’s more, the contract is stored on a blockchain and so can’t be interfered with without hacking 51% of the nodes (this is practically impossible).

But there is another attack vector for smart contracts. Returning to the $100 for bonds example above, I could hack the input to the contract to (falsely) tell the contract that the interest rate is now 1%. The smart contract sees this and executes when it's not supposed to. The security of the contract is only as strong as the weakest link, which in this case is the external data input (also called an oracle).

Chainlink (LINK) solves this problem by decentralizing the oracle – i.e. the information that goes into the contract. It means smart contracts can't be triggered by false inputs (i.e. the attack vector I described above) without hacking 51% of the nodes (again, impossible).

And the bond example is just one of millions of use cases.

mass adoption will happen faster than you goyim think simply because businesses will take advantage of the cost saving factors that chainlink tech provides.

http://www3.weforum.org/docs/WEF_GAC15_Technological_Tipping_Points_report_2015.pdf#page=24

world economic forum (davos, the jews that run the global economy) predicting that ~10% of global GDP will be in blockchain technology by the mid 2020s.

it might be closer than you think. of course its just a prediction and it could be a few years before the mid 2020s or a few years after the 2020s but they have access to people with cutting edge knowledge on these subjects. their prediction is probably better than 99% of people on /biz/

Evidence IBM is considering Chainlink:
Link to an email on Hyperledger Fabric's mailing list (Hyperledger is open source btw, hence the public mailing list). Hyperledger Fabric is IBM's blockchain.
https://lists.hyperledger.org/pipermail/hyperledger-fabric/2017-December/002510.html
In there you will see a scrubbed email attachment. If you click it to view the HTML, you'll see a URL for a Google doc:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HeCbaXrhBIbXR-c7b17OTHh0pQiVyfHG0aKuu3WC4Kg/edit#
This doc outlines the oracles that IBM is considering, one being Chainlink.

Dileban Karunamoorthy is the person who sent this and is a software engineer at IBM focusing on distributed computing.
The email in the list matches his official profile:
https://researcher.watson.ibm.com/researcher/view.php?person=au1-dilebank

Chainlink and Hivemind are ranked best in the trust chart in Appendix A but Hivemind is an unlikely candidate due to it being tied to Bitcoin where as Chainlink is entirely blockchain agnostic.
Trustless is better than trusted FYI, the point of blockchain is to operate with zero-trust. Chainlink also has the most pros with a tie for 3 now and the lead with 4 once they go open source this quarter (open source was a pro for Town Crier but not Chainlink)

If you want a real reason why link is a meme here is is because brainlets can sense there is value and genius level IQ's bless us from time to time with actual understanding of the project. Just look at the reddit, link flies under the radar because morons simply fail to comprehend it.

Meanwhile an army of open source programmers are piling up to work on the golang implementation as well as an army of node stakers deaperately trying to get into Linkpool early. Ever wonder why fud never mentions Linkpool or the open source community? It is because they are either too dumb to understand what is happening or don't want you to know.

Link will never be hyped in the normie way that JUSTin Sun does. Sergey will never tweet about new partnerships. What will happen is /biz/ autists will dig deep into the crevices of the internet to find out new information and regurgitate it to the normies.

Therefore, there will never be news to sell. There will only be The rumor to buy. This will create perpetual mooning for Link, until every link holder hits the Lambo singularity and will then have literally unlimited money

Hahahahahaha rank 110 on this shit. DELUDED linkies.

I bet you will still be saying "muh swift" and "muh derivatives" when this shitcoin bleeds to rank 150 of CMC.

Fucking REDCOIN is higher in marketcap than this shit. Don't you think if banks we're buying in they would A) be doing it right now, while it's "cheap", and B) the price would actually be going up besides tracking BTC and ETH??

Deluded. You all are living in a fantasy world.

I prefer to reserve judgment for companies that took part in stuff like that. I wasn't there so I couldn't tell you what was in their hearts and minds, but it's not like the could have really refused the a government contract like that without taking a severe risk.

I think LINK is seriously lacking business development.

If smartcontracts are indeed useful, it will be upon major institutions to employ LINK technology to make its value rise. Insurance institutions, securities, trade finance, all stand to use something like this, but the timeline is WAAAAAYY off. This technology isnt even perfected yet, let alone in use by anybody.

You can have the best damn product/service in the world, but if there's no one promoting or selling it, you're dead in the water to an inferior product with better marketing.

Given that it is still a big IF as to whether smartcontracts will be a big thing in the future and whether LINK will even find any customers. And given that it is YEARS till this kind of idea MAY even takeoff, I wouldn't hold this right now. Better coins and ideas solving bigger problems with realworld and realtime applications are out there.

LINK is a good idea sure, but i wouldnt put money on its success.

But as a pump and dump? shill away my brothers

Guys, this is fucked up, but hear me out.
I just spoke with the new marketing director of Chainlink and he had some pretty interesting things to tell.

We all know that Sergey has gotten kind of big lately, but the last months it has sprialed out of control. He is now so morbidly obese that he cannot support his own weight. Apparently he used a large chunk of the ICO money to install a huge aquarium in his house. He, and I kid you not, spends 22 houres a day in it to realease the strain on his knees and back. According to the MD of Chainlink, he has switched to eating fish food. He says it has the optimal balance of minerals an positive vibration. But the most fucked up thing is that he is supposedly mating with a clown fish. I don't know if the fish is fine with it or not, but with Sergeys current size I don't think he has a saying in it anyway. Also, once a day he is hoisted out of his tank and onto his couch so that he can watch his favorite TV show Dr. Phil.

I don't know what to think anymore /biz/. I'm not a professional investor, but I don't think link is a good investion if all this is true?

It's not going anywhere. You can't seriously believe this junk coin is the next BTC or ETH. Drop it and get into VEN and XRP. You may be selling low right now buy you're also buying low. It's a better idea to put the money into something more promising and there's no better time to do it than during this dip.

As much as I want to fud the price down even further to accumulate more, I feel the urge to shill a lil' here:

>sergey would have already exited by dumping his bags @ ath or anywhere above a dollar

He's neither stupid nor impulsive. You idiots talk about him all the time, but you don't even know him. He's got friends, you know, and he opens up to us a little bit. Not much. We were hanging out the other day -- me, Sergey and a couple of the other guys (he doesn't really hang out with Steve or, lol, Rory -- whom he literally describes as 'pathetic' behind his back) went bowling like we used to back before our careers got way too involved. No: I won't tell you where, because we do not want you retards fucking up our spot.

Anyway, Sergey steps up to the line for a seven-ten split, and he's just standing there, staring over the curve of his upheld fourteen-pounder, aiming down the lane... but he just keeps standing there. The other guys were cracking wise, so they didn't notice, but I watched him shudder just a little bit, and then quietly sob. It hurt to watch, like a gunshot to the heart. Our friends laughed at some stupid racist youtube video playing on one of their phones while Sergey took the shot -- and missed -- so they didn't see what I saw when he spun around: Sergey, broken, red eyes welling with tears. He made eye contact with me for the briefest split second, and I could tell that knew how I saw his secret pain by the horrified expression that crossed his tragic visage for that terrible instant before he spun around and rushed off to the bathroom, pretending to rub his some dirt out of his eyes as he sobbed once more.

You guys hurt him bad. He really does have an eating disorder, you know, and those "fat sergey" memes you've been posting have driven him to the breaking point. The project's a mess because he can' focus, and he accidentally pocket-dialed me while talking about "dumping it all." I hope he does; you vermin deserve to get burned!
