Popular brokers for stock trading:
Robinhood
>commission free and no minimum to open
http://www.robinhood.com

> How is it free?
Robinhood earns revenue by collecting interest on cash/securities and fees from their Robinhood Gold service

> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

Interactive Brokers
>$1 commission per 100 shares. $10k minimum to open, $3k if 25 or under. Lowest margin interest. Free API access

All good for daytrading, but wouldn't recommend with rising interest rates right now and an unstable dollar.

If you're looking for physical gold always go with bullion, jewelry is worthless and like a new car depreciates half its value 5 minutes after you buy.

Go to jmbullion . com on Mondays after checking the charts of SPOT prices for deals. Spot price is what it's actually worth (as its weight in gold). Don't buy coins. Buy bars and don't buy fancy shit. Sunshine bars are my personal fav. Always come shiny, sealed, security gram and when you sell everyone wants them. Pawnshops and jewelry stores sell/buy bullion but always bust out the dirty stuff first so if you're serious ask them about non man-handled bullion and don't do business with shady owners.

you can buy it and sell it the same day, not sure where you are getting this 5 day thing from. ETFs trade just like stocks, thats the point of them. It's like a mutual fund with better liquidty and with lower fees.

The way I see it : Tesla is a cool brand. Many people think their cars look cool and represent the values of the cool guys.

If one day Tesla manages to sort out their production problems, it will be very profitable quickly.
Besides, the little storyline of Musk is genius. Just wait for him to present news models such as hatchbacks, scooters, motorbikes, electric bikes etc

The more I look into the stock market, the more I believe the market doesn't care about perspectives and conceptual projections. Numbers are the name of the game.

As for TSLA, I think the market still believe Musk's story. He is great at telling it and he still has many tricks up his sleeves. Plus, he gives actual numbers.

TSLA will only tumble the day it runs out of OPM (defaulting on their debts, no hope of raising capital etc). I won't play the short game with the current float being short.

Markets have a knack of pricing things in around 6mo in advance, stay in the stock. Take canopy growth corp for example, a few weeks ago it's market cap was more than air Canada's. Air Canada had 2.5b in revenues last year and pulled in 300m profit. Canopy had 40m revenues and no profit, quite a loss. But nah the 87 public weed stocks in Canada and cumulative 100b+ market cap is totally a good valuation of our cannabis market.

Yes, obviously no one is ever going to buy weed when it's legal. Now of course WEED was overvalued at $44 but it's nowhere near that right now. Currently trading in the mid/high 20's. Did you ever hear the tragedy of the XIV?

I thought not. It's not a story Credit Suisse would tell you. It's a derivatives legend. XIV was an exchange traded note, so leveraged and risky it could double your money every year. The VIX index is a pathway to many profits some consider to be unnatural. It became so leveraged, so profitable... the only thing it was afraid was the termination event, which eventually, of course, happened. Unfortunately, it taught its apprentice SVXY everything it knew, then its apprentice duplicated its trading algorithms as it died. It's ironic, it sacrificed itself to warn others of the risk, but then they all double down.

UVXY is literally a decaying security. You MAY get lucky and catch it when it jumps, but it trends down.

SVXY is the inverse volatility. It literally trends up. Over the past year I have made probably close to $150 a week just by buying on a 5-7% drop and watching it trend up. I would sell it by the end of the week. Over the last few days, it dropped like $70/share bc of the major volatility. I just bought in at $11.45 and fully expect it to get back to the $50-$60 range. I was reading that in terms of the VIX falling. We would have to get a repeat of 2017 volatility for a long time for SVXY to hit high levels again. Even look at the charts, SVXY gained like $70 with historically low volatility. We're not going to get like that again for a long time.

How do you not see how naive this is to say? How do you know? How do you know the market doesnt continue its upward trend from here with little volatility going forward?

protip: you dont.

SVXY is literally a gamble at this point, but losing $11.45/share doesnt mean much to me, so im willing to take that risk because I think the upside potential is so much higher.

What's the difference between the Bitcoin-related stocks--BTSC, GBTC, BITCF, CBOE?

I hear the popular one GBTC is actually sold at a premium which makes each share actually more relatively expensive than bitcoin really is. But would it be a safe alternative to someone who is looking to "safely" trade bitcoin without having to own a wallet or worry about his computer crashing?

I used to date a stockbroker. I asked her what she thought about Robin Hood. She said the way that they keep free stock trading services around are they are all very low priority trades.
If you want your trades handled with any kind of priority you pretty much need to be using a service that costs money per trade.

This is all according to her, I do not know Jack shit about trading stocks I just use my fake Internet money. I don't even know how big of a deal low-priority trading is. my guess would be you don't want it for day trading but it doesn't matter if you are hodl

most of my trades filled at market or better.
it depends on your volume but for me i would haved saved maybe $500 at best on better fills.
