How much can I ask for if I want to sell a game to a breakfast cereal company that will be printed on the back of the cereal box?

I have no idea what kind of money to ask for if they like it and want it.

If someone can give me a realistic answer I will tell what i'm selling

>> No.741519

Find out who's normally responsible for package design and see whether they work permanently or on a freelance basis.
Then find out the wage/fee.
I doubt they're freelance. You might need to be applying for a job to make use of this. That would probably require a portfolio of sample work and some minor work experience.

I highly doubt you are going to find someone on /biz/ who makes games on the back of cereal boxes. Tell us your game and we can tell you if its worth anything

No one on /biz/ has a real job, how the fuck should we know. But, I doubt cereal companies will hold a meeting for something like this and hanging outside waiting for them to walk by to pitch your game will make you seem like a crackhead.

What I presume to be the method they use for back carton crossword puzzles is to ask a company to make one with a list of their preferred words. And, when I say company I mean the places that make the little books for magazine stands and stuff, like the sudoku paperbacks.

Why would they entertain your idea? Or are you about to tell us how you revolutionized the crossword puzzle game?

>> No.741617

I can't imagine they'll give you more than $100. They can literally have any intern make a crossword puzzle online in 10 minutes.

For 500k you better have a sweet wordsearch

Your game isn't going to sell them more cereal. Why would they give you more than $1,000? If that.

it's completely new and kids would want to collect them all that would make parents buy more. It's far from a crossword puzzle. I changed my mind i'll only tell after I have done the pitch to them next week.

but lets just say (small chance) they want it what would they pay for it?

a bit less then 50 000? close to half a million? just give me a wide range number. It's country based so I doubt any of you are from the small shitty country as me so i'll share my idea and how it went afterwards. Come on biz I need you in this time of my life!

>> No.741670

unless it is some sort of magic selling game, I don't think you'd get more than 1000 for your idea.

>> No.741826

if your game actually hypnotizes kids and their parents into craving whatever cereal it's on to the point of liquidating their assets in order to get their fix... I'd say they'll give you $1,000,000. If it's some kind of mystery game or puzzle that requires different boxes to complete... $100-$1000 depending how big the company is

I'm 99% sure these companies don't buy this shit from external companies. It's almost certainly done as a side job by someone at their head office. They probably have some poor fucking intern put them together.
