Did a placement as social media marketer for smallish company, did another as intern manlet for large building company.
Fairly weak placements

What kind of experience or work have you done on your own?

I stopped doing digital/social media marketing when I got into crypto. If you are good enough, find something you are passionate about and promote it. Build your own store or something. If you can't make money, then you aren't good enough and you won't do shit on your job. Why would you want to work for others if you are good enough? You are either idiot or you suck. It took me long time to accept that - I wasn't good enough in it, at least not like I thought I was. Build your dream.

I own a speaker hire company that has given me a tonne of knowledge on how to get clients, talk to them, keep them happy etc as well as budgeting and making my own website.

I've got significant experience with Adobe tools, partly from fucking around on 4chan but mostly to be useful for above speaker hire company.

Everything else has been while working for somebody else or in a placement.

You could be worse off. At least you have something to add as work. I graduated with less honestly, and I am working full time now.

You need to just keep trying man. Unless you know someone who can push you through somewhere, you're just playing a numbers game. Apply everywhere you can, even for positions you aren't qualified for, As long as it's related to your work just do it. Make sure you're writing good cover letters as well. Don't let failed interviews or no call backs bring you down. Every interview is practice for the next.

Any good school will have people to help you with practicing and making sure your resume is solid. You should also check for any job fairs there as well.

For perspective, I put out well over 200 resumes out last year. I had 15 call backs, 10 interviews, and 3 good offers. The whole process took about 6 months.

Thanks for that, especially your experience with the process. You're right, I do need to keep trying.
