As volatility went up, stocks/bonds went down and risk aversion kicked in. So risky positions are being closed and/or hedged as we speak. That could mean some more stocks will be sold, but those will be the shitty ones that profited of the global growth. Now with that said the underlying (US) economy is doing fine, so there's no reason for a recession.
Well some of the risky assets may be avoided for now (also one of the reason BTC got fucked so hard) and money will flow in JPY, USD, Gold perhaps. Safe havens.
