the real redpill is money doesn't matter unless you are actually living in poverty.

studies have show that making a jump in 60-80k a year to 130-250k a year do not improve overall happiness

Would it be nice to be able to go to lambo land? yeah it would, but lambo land wouldn't be special if we all made it there.

all money does is give you luxuries that while nice, only take you from 92% enjoyment of something to maybe 98% enjoyment. It's nice, but the gap does not justify the expense.

Try to find the best price/performance point for everything in life while splurging on just a few luxuries every now and then, you will be infinitely happier.

because in the end, when we all die, we all are the same and we all will become one and be at peace and money will not have ever mattered.

The tax on stock profits is called Capital Gains Tax. CGT operates by having netgainstreated as taxable income in thetaxyear an asset is sold or otherwise disposed of.You pay nothing on the value of stock when it increases in value, so long as you don't sell. If you have owned the capital for more than a year at the time of selling, the CGT is cut in half. So, if you bought in after the 2015 crash and rode BTC to moon, selling out everything on December 2017, you would only pay 33% as tax.

Most coin exchanges put arbitrary limits on how much one can sell at once, to try and add SOME stability to the volitile shit show that is coin trading. A typical limit is 15k per week. There are some exchanges that have no limits, however.

Be advised that even if did manage to sell 2 million at once, one does not simply deposit that amount of money into a bank account. There are forms to fill out. Declarations to be made. Taxes and fees to lube your butthole for. You'd probably need to go into your local bank the day before and flat out tell them everything that's going to happen.

No, I mean in both cases (poker hand, investments) you literally make a choice to stay in the game every time you play.

That's why "time in the market" is a thing - you choose how much exposure you want to have.

That's why poker players have bankroll management, you don't lose what you cannot afford to lose. If you are not aware that you can lose a certain portion of your money at any time, you are stupid.

But you really do have that money, whether it's a poker chip or another currency or a stock.

The fact that crypto and poker chips are very liquid is what lets people play easily in the first place. Nobody would play if exchanges or casinos didn't let you cash out whenever you wanted.

Easy come easy go. If I didn't work for the money I just can't be invested into getting mad at gains gone.

True. I used to be far more emotional in 08' when I started with stocks. But at that time my contract ran out and I fooled myself into thinking I could survive in the market having practiced with play money for some years. The stress just isn't worth it and makes you do irrational and emotional choices that far more than not burns you, spiralling you deeper into despair.
Now I got a steady job I love with good pay in a fast growing sector, so the crypto gains were just a potential bonus, but not something I absolutely needed thus I detached myself from my investment. That money will stay either until it gets liquidated or goes rises. I'm good anyway.
