Hey /biz/

I recently got out of county prison. 90 days for non-support. I've been trying to find an executive position but no matter how smooth I talk they won't listen to the fact that I'm a genius. They'd say "we got all that we can use". So now I'm working at a car wash. It's depressing and messing with my mind here.

I should be sitting in an air conditioned office in a swivel chair talking trash to the secretary but instead I'm stuck rubbing fenders with a rag and walking home in soggy old shoes.

A man of my ability should be smoking on a big cigar but until I get myself straight I'm in this damn rubber suit rubbing cars.

All I can do is shake my head. Little do they know, working on this end of Niagara falls is an undiscovered Howard Hughes. I told my ex-wife to not expect to see me with double martinis or on some high-brow society news since I'm working at the car wash.

How do I get my shit together?

Stop thinking you're a genius. That's step one.

At least make it funny, or at the very least subtle.

This isn't even worth opening my bait folder for

Next time mention something about cryptocurrency or day trading. That's fish in a barrel for /biz/

Shit I loathe college students. I feel like you're the same retard in every single thread that links every little benign post to Dunning Kruger. It's not that you're wrong. You are certainly right but in the same exact way that a 5 year old remarks 100 times a day how the sky is blue and is so proud that he made the observation. So you learned a new concept in school. Get over it already.

Fellow jail fag here. The best you can do is start your own business or get training in such high demand that people don't care what you've done in the past.

Or, you could do things the hard way and network yourself. There's a movie called the woodsman where a pedo got his bearings back by asking his friend for a favor and doing well at it. Whatever happens, anon, good luck. I know how hard things are and how difficult the police state has made it to survive.

Go to community college. Learn how to fix something associated with refrigeration. Get certificate in same. Start business and advertise on Craigslist to start. Do good work, word of mouth type advertising starts. Hire another ex-con, teach him the business, fund his business in a nearby town for a cut of the action. Then, after you mentor his success, both of you sponsor another excon in the business. Soon you have 100 franchises sending you a combined total of $326,400 per month. You retire to a sunny beach where all Delta Delta Delta sorority girls go to party and you open up a breastaurant called "Funbags" and start a website called "Bigguns" where your waitress of the month talks about her goals in life and you and your ex-con buddies start funding those restaurants and soon you have a million dollars a month coming in and people to manage it but you forgot to get a colonoscopy one year and you go back to do it and they see some polyps in there and they decide to cauterize them but because you spent the last few nights trying to bone a big titted grill from the University of Texas via margaritas and nachos, you had a pocket of gas in there and it explodes and your dead. Just like that.

Stop thinking you're so entitled. But actually set yourself up to improve because of available opportunities, too. If you're willing to start low (car wash), start low in a position you can build from instead (office, sales, whatever).

>I know about this, and even though this probably applies to me, I'm so smart that if I declare it doesn't apply to me, then it doesn't apply to me, and excuse me, I'm late for my next self-defeatist appointment.

During the Bakken oil boom, there were tons of ex-cons up there making bank doing an honest day's work. Learn a trade and follow the money.

most people are losers

OP is a lying narcissistic megalomaniac and likely deluded and incompetent but at least he gives a shit. This puts them above ordinary people (of equal ability) who rarely step out of their comfort zone.

Whenever I try to accomplish something or try something new normies give me the sneer treatment, I can take criticism, if someone says "I think this would be a better way of doing it" I'll listen, but all I ever hear from normies is "you're no good", "that's not going to work", "you won't succeed", full stop, no explanation. They didn't understand what I was doing and decided I was being an asshole and needed to be put in my place or something and when I was young I believed them. When sadistic sociopaths and anti-social criminals are more likely to raise your self-esteem, when listening and trusting people turns out to be a huge mistake, you know there is something wrong with society. It is almost as though you want to prove that Ayn Rand was right all along.

I know your finances will be not so good for a lawyer right now, but look into the expungement process. That is the way you'll get your record straight. You can do it yourself as well, as far as I know. Although I'm sure they look down upon applications that aren't from a law professional.

What sort of a genius do you think you are? Do you think you're superior in every mental facet? And I don't mean to compare to the "average person", because most folks don't enjoy thinking. It hurts their head.

If you're a social genius, more than fluent in the methods of manipulation, small deception, and generally being "that guy"...well. Actually, you couldn't really be this because you got shot down hard. A social genius would get some sort of in.

So are you a mathematical genius? Freelance coding would be your best bet, I reckon.

Are you a genius in logistics and organization? Well, if this is the case, I imagine you'll have a very hard time. I don't have any advice for this one.

Are you simply of above-average intelligence and you feel that you deserve something for this?
