I can't believe how many people are deluded to the point that they don't see it's over. We're never going to have 10x gains again, and you'll be very lucky if it ever hits $10k again. If it does, it'll plummet immediately afterwards because of the massive sell off

Most coiners probably didn't realize what happened, but here's the short version...

1. On 12/10/17, bitcoin futures started trading on the CBOE

2. On 12/17/2017, bitcoin futures started trading on the CME.

What does this mean...

3. Instead of off-brand exchanges with no rules, people are now allowed to trade futures on an established licensed market, where standard trading rules apply.

4. For the first time, real traders can short bitcoin. Where before price was only based on the willingness of people who were LONG bitcoin, you now have the ability to go long and short on an exchange where you don't have to worry about the owners running off with all of your money.

5. Every other coin on the market is (generally) priced against bitcoin, and bitcoin is almost exclusively used as the "store of wealth" when making trades back and forth between shitcoin.

6. So while you may appear to be making gains ans you go between one or the other, there is still an an overall deflation happening.

7. The bottom line... the professional traders are now involved, and they realize that the true price of bitcoin should be around $100. They're going to make massive amounts of money driving the price back into reality.

What? The potential to make short term gains is always there, every single day. I'm not denying that, I'm saying that "HODL" as a long term strategy is retarded since long-term prospects for BTC are abysmal. It's trending down and I don't see that reversing
