Some anon here had an opinion that we have started a few years of steady bear. But a few weeks of upwards movement could be coming before.

Upper picture: last crash
Lower picture: current crash

The crashes aren't exactly the same, but the overall point is the same. Temporary oversold in a longer bear market.

holy shit i didnt think biz was this stupid
only tether and bitfinex collapsing will cause the multi year bear market

>> No.7225145

>>7224662
i doubt tethers and bitfenix alone can cause a multi year bear market, more like a 3-4 month bear market

mt gox today would be like every major exchange exit scamming

What if the crashes weren't really because of mt gox and tether FUD? They were just the triggers. Real reason was people getting rich in a matter of months and wanting just to cash some out.

The cycles will move increasingly faster because that's how markets move and grow. The last multi-year bear market was a period where people were still learning how to use and implement blockchain tech. Also, the ecosystem and market weren't as mature as they are today. Yes, an extended bear market may or may not come (no one truly knows), but that doesn't change the fact the implementation of blockchain and the surrounding market are far more advanced right now than they were back then. Markets test tops and bottoms. Things grow. Shit projects will be culled, and the market will move on and grow because whether people on /biz want to admit it or not, we're not investing in tulips. Blockchain actually has inherent value; most companies just haven't learned how to adopt it or monetize it yet.

it's all of the above. any period of extended growth is going to be followed by a period of profit taking. the higher the rise, the more profit and incentive to take it. natural market cycle...

coinbase, tether, bitfinex colapsing and binance exit crash combined would at best lead to 2-3 month bear

so because similar pattern happened in 2014 it will happen again in 2018 despite the marketing being completely different

well i guess opinions are like assholes, everyone has their own

pretty much, this market does not have any real underlying assets so it's 100% psychology. Past patterns are all that people have.

We hit first target, we'll hit 13k before heading back down to around 5k.
