Fuck lambos, these people are building a whole crypto city with their own airports & seaports.

>Now the bitcoin investors are spending their days hunting for property where they could have their own airports and docks. They are taking over hotels and a museum in the capital’s historic section, called Old San Juan. They say they are close to getting the local government to allow them to have the first cryptocurrency bank

LMAO. Wow they're going to be disappointed when they find out that their gains are going to be taxed as if they were in the US because they were a US citizen for any of the 10 years before moving to Puerto Rico.

You needn't even be *in* puerto rico for more than half a year at a time. as a guy who lives in a shithole state that is freezing half the year, I will personally be moving to Puerto Rico next year and saving mad dosh on my taxes for my children. Your sacrifices during these boom times will ripple through the generations. Don't be a nigger and give 50% of your bag to these fucking kikes.

Did you even read the image?

https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p570.pdf

This is the source btw. Even if you move to Peurto Rico next year and sell or use it to buy property you're going to get taxed as if the income was from the states because you were a United States Citizen for any of the 10 years preceding the gain. If you want to sell tax free you're going to have to hold for 10 more years while staying in Peurto Rico.

Did you mean to quote me? Anyway, you still have to have bona-fide peurto rican resident status for 10 years prior to selling your investment in order for it to be considered to be realized in Puerto Rico. All these people thinking that they can just move to Peurto Rico for 6 months and sell in the first year within being a "bona fide resident" are going to get FUCKED.

>> No.7227440

>>7227269
And anyone who says 10 years is not a long time is delusional. In crypto that's an eternity. Anything could happen in those 10 years.

Puerto Rico capital gains tax is 4%. It's a tax Haven for us citizens

>> No.7227637

>>7227469
That's IF the gains are considered to be originating from within Peurto Rico. It says if both of these following conditions are true then it's NOT treated as if the gain came from within Puerto Rico:

1.For the tax year for which the source of the gain must be determined, you are a bona fide resident of the relevant possession.

2. For any of the 10 years preceding that year, you were a citizen or resident alien of the United States (other than a bona fide resident of the relevant possession).

If you moved to Peurto Rico this year you would still meet those two criteria, preventing you from selling your investment under Peurto Rican tax rules, except if you stay there as a bona fide resident for 10 consecutive years.

>> No.7227680

>>7227637
correction except if you STAYED*, not for 10 more years into the future.

Ten years is not a long time when it comes to saving literally millions of dollars on your tax burden, unless you need emergency surgery. I've been poor a long time, I have a fucking death grip on my money. I earned this money.

Being a Bona-fide resident of puerto rico means half a year must be spent as a resident of puerto rico, you don't even have be there year round. Oh no, I have to hang out on a sunny beach surrounded by other fellow high-level income earners who wish to escape the entirely unust levels of taxation in this country, oh no!!! not the sunny beach full of horny puerto rican girls! anything but that!!!!! Idk about you faggots, but i *specifically* filled my portfolio with coins that offer some form of passive income. So, for doing my due diligence, I will be rewarded with tax-free streams of income.

This doesn't prevent you from cashing out some of your gains. Bear in mind, if you make under 37 grand a year, you pay 0% long term tax rates. Tbh long-term capital gains rates aren't really that high anyways, so I plan on just working the same kinds of jobs i work on the mainland, but with a little bit extra income from whatever I decide to sell. Maybe i'll buy a car! Probably not though, I like riding my bike.

tl;dr do more research faggots. Stop fudding my beautiful plan. It WILL work, and you WILL be looking like total fucking retards. "b-but i'll miss Bumfuck, Ohio and muh family!"
Take a plane home for 6 months out of the year until you get sick of the fuckers and go right back to the island. Rinse and repeat. Granted, this is easier for me to say, as I have nothing but a motorcycle & a sleeping bag, so to speak.

This is your life, don't shrimp dick it and give away all your gains to this godless machine called the US government, when they're literally giving you a gimme loophole.I know i'm just an anonymous guy on the internet, but jesus christ THINK
