It's over. BTC tried to go mainstream and fell flat on it's face. Normies were welcomed with $30 transfer fees and 24 hour confirmations time. Almost no vendors accept it. How delusional are you?

It's a store of value bro, like gold. Transferring wealth across nations and all that.

Spot the nocoiner. We've gone through the same cycles many times now, if you think this time is different from the rest, you're deluded. Bitcoin will always lead the way, it is the beating heart of the crypto market, the only time I can see BTC being dethroned is many years from now when the crypto market as a whole is stable, after the big purge.

Bitcoin will be dead by the end of this year, if not sooner. It has limited and fewer technologies compared to many of the new coins listed.
The "purge" you are talking of is currently happening.
It has dropped $12000 in the last 45 days from its peak at $20000 back in mid December.
Its current value is $8700.
Ethereum is the new mainstream (normie) currency and will only rise in price once all the bitcoin is sold off to a price under what ethereum is worth.
You can hold for as long as you like but it isn't going to be a wise choice.

I first got interested in bit coins in the beginning of this year and I have to say after a friend showed me how to buy some I was like wtf?

Super long waits. Super high fees. And like, lots of weird, creepy coins? I thought it was just bit coins?

My friend helped me sell all my bit coins when they were 20.000 dollars so I at least made some money :)
