Just landed my first normal job at Barclays as IT support analyst. 1000€/month before tax. I just turned 22.

How am i doing? What was your first decent job and how much did you make?

>> No.717521

First real job was as a bartender at the age of 16. Earned 2 euros an hour while regular pay was around 1.5 euros. Higher pay due to boss not wanting to pay taxes. No paperwork, so he had no way to make sure that I was too young. I told him im 19. Worked there for 3 years.

First "real" job, the kind that makes yo' mama proud was at the age of 28 as a CAD monkey in an architectural company.

I know it is hard to believe, but there are lots of places where this kind of income is OK or even good.

Picture shows some of median incomes. And that chart is most likely wrong. In Estonia the average income is more towards 500-700 euros for the common man.

Yep, can confirm. Earning 1200€/month in Serbia as a programmer.

You're starting at a big name company, that's always good. Your first step on the career path. 1000eur is far below minimum wage in some countries, but it's probably okay where you are.

My current job, which is actually my first job ever is paying $21/hr right now since I'm part time and still in school. Once I graduate I'll be getting ~$30/hr.

I'm a code monkey, but I enjoy it.

Based, what are you coding and what languages are you using? Do you have high expectations past entry level? How hard are you willing to get there?
