Are they worth the investment and actually work or is it better to do everything manually?

Hi OP. I've worked as a systems programmer and have 15 years experience in development. My scripts are used for data collection and analysis. Following that, they will arbitrage or scalp, which is daytrading.

I've created a few simple scripts, functions, housed within individual modules, which execute under the one interface, which presents data from several exchanges making it easier as the data is presented on the one screen, keeping it concise.

Doing this manually is cumbersome and slow.

For anyone who is interested, it is, with a bit of time, relatively straightforward to create a simple BOT. The development environments & debuggers are all free to use.

There are Community Editions of Microsoft Visual Studio which are available for free, and languages such as Python & Ruby are good for RAD, also free. They have classes which can be imported directly to MS Visual Studio, where you can use that debugger/IDE.

If anyone wants to know anything else, just ask.
