I found there wasn't enough fluctuation in FoWH#1 to make a lot of dividends. I actually made a higher proportion of dividends in FoWH#3, and with a smaller investment.

At this point, my dividends generated (cashed out from #3, still sitting in #1), roughly equal my original investment in PoWH#1 (though that value is still up about 50% from my buy in)

At this point, I am contemplating just leaving it, and riding it all the way down. *IF* this ever resuscitates, I'd be in a sweet position, and it's kind of like free money - though in hindsight, it would have been fun to sell at the peak too!

That's actually a misconception. You see, everyone always went on about how dividends made it safer to invest, and that how the price going down with the balance made it self-sustainable.
But the truth is a little different. You see, the amount that people supposedly have available for cashing out, and the actual balance in the contract just keep going further always from each other, with the balance in the contract having less and less percentage of the amount people would need to cash out.
This is process accelerated by the fact that dividends do not go down when the total balance does. Meaning that each time there is a crash and people buy back in, more money is created out of thin air for holders, money that is not reflected in the contract balance. Now tell me: what happens when the firstcomers start cashing out and crash the price with their huge profit in mind, after the price inevitably stagnates? That's right, it's not enough for everyone to get out. When it goes to low, people start panic shilling for it to go back up to be able to sell. That means that, even if a next pump run happens after a dump, it will have more bagholding sellers than before, thus the new top will be lower. Things only get worse with time. This is a true pyramid scheme, from top to bottom.
That's why people who get early and sell close to the first top always win. And people who hold for too long lose almost everything.

When you buy you receive tokens worth 90% of the Eth you put in, the other 10% is distributed as dividends. When you sell you lower the Eth value of remaining tokens.
