Crypto won't be adopted by the masses, but it will be adopted by the algorithms that control their lives. The same way nobody understands any of the backend tech behind their favourite smartphone (while living through their smartphone), crypto will covertly take over the global financial system.

IMO if you have $10K in crypto right now there is a chance that you will be set for several generations as long as you hold for several years.

No you did not miss it but crypto will not be a currency for a LONG time. Projects like Iexec and Enigma will have value in the meantime. Req Omg etc have a long time before a viable use case, as the cyberstructure is no where near capable of supporting them.

There are ultimately two categories that need to be completed before we achieve a decentralized future. Cyberstructure (Iexec, Link, Eng) and the acceleration of the dethingification of value (Icx mentions this briefly in the their whitepaper). Both of these things will take some time, so no, you definitely did not miss it.

To be fair most coins in 2015/2016 were called scams (including ETH and XRP). In the end you have to do a lot of research and only invest if you're absolutely sure. ICOs are unfortunately the best way to make money now after the bullrun last month. The market cap just went crazy - most of us are probably exactly 2 months to late to make it. Don't expect it to grow this much again. But expect new coins that aren't priced in yet to still go x10 or x100.

That's x40 from the highest point of the entire lifetime of the crypto market. And the only reason this happened is because in Nov/Dec the masses came flooding in. If you seriously believe another bullrun like this is coming, don't be disappointed when it doesn't. x4 this year might be possible, but don't expect every shitcoin to go crazy again like in December. If you really want to make it you need to take some risks and invest in ICOs. Every coin in the top 150 or so is probably priced in at this point and will only move significantly with the rest of the market.
