No, not really. I know some students are really into the "uitgaansleven" in Maastricht, but most of the students go to Heerlen or the occasional 15+ party at Kingdom Club Kerkrade (I'll probably be going on april the 11th: fb.com/events/757308441050485/)

Are u its an extra year for a premaster? Dont u have 1 semester in physics where u can do a minor and just do the premaster then?

As a tilburg guy i'd say erasmus is your best choice in terms of alumni and career events etc. Fsr is quite big especially is combo with fsa in amsterdam. Tilburg is a good second choice but their strengths lie more on the research side.

I'm not sure whether you can do a minor in economics in Nijmegen. I know you get too choose in the TUe, but I don't know if UT or EUR would accept it...

If you want to know if its possible just try contacting a study advisor at tu/e or eur and ask them whats possible in terms of premaster. You probably only need 30 ects to get acces to msc qfas for example. Im fairly sure however that if you study physics in eindhoven and want to do a msc in rotterdam, you will have to do the premaster in rotterdam as well. So nijmegen wont be an option.

How won't Nijmegen be an option? You will be allowed into the pre-masters without any taking an economics minor.

Nee maar in Nederland maakt de uni keuze eigenlijk helemaal niet zo veel uit. Dus kies een uni die bij je past, je werkgever geeft namelijk geen neuk.

Nijmegen doesnt have an econometrics program as far as i know. And a premaster in economics is not the same as a premaster in econometrics. You're better off doing a master in physics than economics if you want to go into like strategy consulting or ibanking.

Also as the guy above me noted, unis are kinda the same in NL and employers wont really care. But if u want to go into investment banking the chances are better for rotterdam as its well known in the financial world.

Also eur now offers a "bsc squared" where you can do a double bachelors in economics and econometrics in four years. If you're interested in micro/macro economics as well as the quant side u can try this.

Pre masters zijn overigens vrijwel niet in 1 jaar te doen. Reken rustig op 2 a 3 jaar. 95% lukt het niet om het in 1 jaar te doen.

Een master is niet moeilijker. Een master is een specialisatie of verdieping in.

Je hebt er geen snars van begrepen of zit nog op de middelbare school.

Neem bv rechten. Bachelor rechten is allerhande modules. Van rechtsfilosie en rechtsgeschiedenis tot arbeids rechts tot criminologie tot bedrijfsrecht

Een master is een specializatie in een van bijvoorbeeld de volgende onderwerpen: staatsrechts, bestuursrecht of bv strafrecht.

Dan ben je dus een jaar lang alleen met bv bestuursrecht bezig en niet een course van 8 weken zoals in de bachelor.

Maastricht is rising every year in the rankings, but Rotterdam is still higher. Maastricht is always first in the Dutch rankings tho but nobody gives a fuck about the Dutch rankings, so I'd say go for Rotterdam. If you want the "PBL" system and 8 hours of tuts max/week go for Maastricht, the city is also nicer to study imo. But if u don't like germans or like partying like a moron in clubs until 6 go for Rotterdam
BTW, triple accreditation doesn't mean shit bro, basically they pay and get it, some of the best unis in the world don't even have a single accreditation so don't listen to this sht
Most students in Econometrics are fucking annoying rich & nerdy kids here in Maastricht though
