Not so good anymore. I stopped using brave browser because it was so fucking buggy. I used to be a huge believer but I can't imagine anyone ever wanting to use this token for it's intended purpose. Do they seriously think they have any shot at supplanting IE or firefox or chrome? It's a joke and it's clear they're now relying on increasingly more irrelevant youtube stars to hype their token because anyone worth their salt can make money the real way. I'm waiting for one last pump before I can dump my bags.

Pretty good, it's one of the coins that will ultimately survive any BTC crash and has found good support despite no substantial developments for months on it. buy ADST while its under ICO price, same genre as BAT but not a shitcoin

>> No.6840910

I just head a dude on the radio talking about his ICO, friend network token. Old guy, talking to older guy, metaphors everywhere. Its basically a moneygrab akin to what ICN was, where the token itself has no value but the platform has., With FNT is was the mother company owned by shareholders that basically double their income by havingICO of a daughter company. Shitty stuff, where the daughter company has the "decentralized" version of their platform which they sell centralized through the mother company. I also asked myself if they truly wanted a decentralized version of their platform why just dont implement ZRX or KYBER protocol?

Anyways, in that moment I was happy that I all my coins have utility, like BAT. BAT is useless without the platform, and the platform is useless without the token. If all else fails, its atleast an honest effort to disrupt an industry. And i like that. I get the same feeling from holding bat from holding privacy coins or coins with newer tech implemented. /comfy/

>> No.6840968

The concept of bat doesn't need to rely on tokens. It would actually be easier if and more intuitive if it directly provided USD.

That's where it falls apart.

>> No.6841007

>>6840370
4chan actually has a shitload of volume that converts. It's just that most mainstream ad networks are unwilling to buy 4chan's inventory because of their rep and content. Apples to oranges.

Personally I think BAT is a very promising project. I can see it removing a lot of the efficiencies that currently exist in digital marketing. I'd rather pay .20 for an engaged user than .01 for a shitload of burnt impressions that yield no action.

Your picture basically implies that BAT has stricter content regulations. That usually means better conversions for their advertisers if they can fall within their guidelines or cloak.

Meanwhile, AD seems to be more advertiser-centric which means they'll run just anything which leads to bad user experiences. Unless they can corner good content creators, and sites, to release exclusives, I just don't see how users will flock to AD over Brave. Ad will probably carve out a niche for themselves but it will not be as mainstream as the alternative.

I’m in Australia so I’m about to go to bed and don’t have time to refute your points. BATs method of measuring attention is retarded and ADS is just the platform it contects publishers to advertisers nothing more. Illegal content just means a greater market for adshares regardless of conversion rates. Also less then 0.1%of people use brave so no one wants to advertise on it.

Well BAT will be the infrastructure, and as I have understood Eich, further development on privacy. You want to send money anonymously to creators. With USD, banks would know your browsing experience. Brave could possibly work just as easily with another token though. But that is for the future I guess.

Even then consider the fact that its not even 1.0 yet. That's why adoption has been slow on purpose so they can equally scale all parts of the company. From browser adoption to token usage to visibility. These fucking neets have no idea how enterprise level software works.
