RFID tracking shipments is not a new concept. It's been around for 20 years. VeChain is a new take on an OLD technology.

Modum is a new take on a NEW technology. The internet of things is set to revolutionize the way we interact with our world. And blockchain is a perfect system of record for maintaining semi-realtime data. Modum has patented hardware devices that monitor conditions and send an array of data points to the blockchain.

The software Modum is building around their sensor devices could easily be tweaked to accommodate RFID as well. So Modum could move into VeChain's market but VeChain is years away from moving on Modum.

Plus, Swiss > chinks, VeChain has some scammy practices, and Modum price has a lot more room to grow

so why does MOD always take a huge dump when BTC shits its pants... as opposed to VEN or ICX? And why does it look like while it recieves nice pumps every now and then, it's bleeding out otherwise..

They are completely different coins, VeChain and Modum.

VeChain is an IoT BaaS solution, holding VeChain tokens generates VeChain Thor which will be required to execute smart contracts and applications on the platform. Their RFID application with luxury goods was only a preliminary proof of concept before their expansion, they are closer to something like NEO in what they’re doing.

Modum tokens are a dividend distributing token. They are not required to run anything on the platform, it’s just a way to give holders a share of the company’s overall profit, expected to be paid out annually.

It makes absolutely no sense to compare the two. I’m not saying that means Modum’s not as good, but it’s totally fucking different and more narrow in scope.
