In this video is a new plugin made by someone which you can add to your website to accept raiblocks, and you will see the speed of raiblocks.

A lot of people say there are other faster coins, but the key is that FREE is FREE. When bitcoin was new the transaction fee was negligable. Every coin that is not FREE to send is USELESS. Buy raiblocks today

If it can get out of this hell hole slump at some point, $100 would be pretty easy. $1000 maybe possible assuming entire market has another year like 2017.
On the bright side, it seems to me that binance at worst will have no effect, since anyone that wants to cash out probably has done it on KC already. Fixing the nodes also has only upside, since broken nodes (and therefore no withdrawals) almost certainly cause downward pressure on price.

It simply doesn't work. If I can do PoW on my phone then its too easy to transaction flood the network maliciously with a GPU cluster.

There is no solution, I've read the whitepaper, all they have is some pruning. They even concede you can flood the network with enough resources.

you realize, if its too fast, too easy to send a transaction, the "PoW as anti-spam" does not fullfill its function?

if a phone can easily send a transaction - that means the PoW is too easy, and network is wide open for spamming by GPUs

also, you realize the rai.exchange is still postponed because they have to use GPUs to process many tx/s, so the anti-spam does work.

which means, you are a liar, as on my Intel i7 octacore, it takes 1minute. on a phone, it will either drain battery to make people uncomfortable to pay with XRB, or on low end androids, not enough battery to send a transaction AT ALL.

There's no direct incentive (Getting a reward) Each node can handle an insane amount alone. Think of torrenting or any other peer to peer network. That's what makes it decentralized. The incentive is that someone who uses it will want it to succeed. The more and more people start to use raiblocks, the more nodes will be online and the TXS will only get exponentially higher. It's rare for a person to be using an extremely high volume, only people who do are big big big business like exchanges, and for exchanges there's a direct incentive for them to run nodes to be able to do their business. The more people use rai the more nodes there will be.

It's resistant to flood attacks because you have to accept the PoW, it does have a vulnerability where you can generate PoW over time with GPU and then release them all at once, it wont take down the network but will cause it to be slow. This can only be done by a government size organization who wants to take it down/;

I was about to respond but you pretty much addressed everything.

I would go one step further from an incentive standpoint and use the same argument that an exchange had for running a node. If I was a retailer that accepted XRB as form of payment, wouldn’t I have a lot of incentive to run a node at $5/mo vs paying 1-2% to visa?

Also I don’t think a lot of people realize that a lot of the exchange side issues were caused by the PoW which kind of shows how difficult it would be to spam the network

It costs $5 or $15 a month with current volume. How much will it cost when it reaches Bitcoins or Ethereum's volume? Will people still be altruistic to run nodes for free? I get that PoW is required to flood a network but it would still be significantly cheaper and easier than if there were fees.

>> No.6666654

>>6666521
Simply having the wallet open is running a node. Setting up a dedicated server to run 24/7 costs 5 dollars per month on digital ocean. The altruism doesn't matter. Look at torrents. They work without peopple making any money form them, flawlessly. With A currency there is a direct incentive to support it if you use it. Tvhe node problem will never be an issue. Yyou can even run a node in your car. I get why people have this impression, but that's what decentralization means. Bitcoin is not decentralized

i'm not sure if every node on the network has to handle every transaction.
if not, it might be easier to scale.

and of that $5-$15 I dont' know how many more tps it can handle. I assume it can scale pretty easily since XRB has chain pruning (low disk storage required) and processing transactions is cheap since the sender did the work.

but if u want to know the numbers more specifically you'll have to DYOR

For example, since I hold raiblocks, i run a node simply because iwant the network to succeed and be as fast as possible for new people who are testing it out so they can say WOW when it sends in 2 seconds. it's not altruism, its for my own benefit, even though one node isnt much.

i'll give you my mercatox logs if you care.

XLM is mooning because 3 second transactions and 1500 tps.
XRB has 10 seconds and can handle 7000.
I can't think of another in production coin that can handle half of that. and XRB is much more decentralized than XRP or XLM. Jed controls 90% of the supply of XLM. XRB owners... maybe 5% or so?

Don't need to buy anymore, been accumulating since $0.25. It shot from sub 100 to a top 20 coin in less than two months. It is actually delivering on its value proposition. It's not just a whitepaper and hyped up headlines. It's CURRENTLY delivering to its users. But if you'd rather buy into cryptos that PROMISE to kill ETH, handle the world's supply chain industry and feed your grandmother her oatmeal through blockchain AI robots, be my guest. I truly hope they deliver on all their promises, but right now most of this shit is just hype chasing and hoping teams can deliver on their road maps.

NO FEES.

XLM mooned because of hype. Same with every alt in Dec-Jan. ALL HYPE & NEW MONEY looking to get rich. If you bought low <$5 and havent cashed out yet, you better do it soon. Once this hype train is over and Core coins (BTC/ETH/NEO) start their own bull run it is goin to be a slaughterhouse for alts.

Good Luck.

ECA looks strictly worse than ETH. the "instant" speed is 0conf, that's not a real transaction, as any blockchain can do that.

i trade on fundamental strength of a functioning currency. So far I've outperformed ETH. BTC will stick around for awhile for because it's like the petrodollar. but a year from now who knows.
kind of a joke to call NEO a core coin though over XLM, I like it but it has several weaknesses.

>> No.6668459

>>6668254
I'm not sure about NEO, I see it's pretty popular but I just read the whitepaper and there's basically nothing there, doesn't really talk in depth about anything at all, wheras something like ethereum actually makes you think the devs know what they're talking about
