CEO of Cronos Group (MJN) Mike Gorenstein is apparently in Poland right now as he posted a picture from Warsaw on his instagram. The reason this could be something is that Cronos is already involved in the EU market in Germany and could, perhaps be looking to expand to other EU countries. If Cronos makes a supply deal with Poland that would be a pretty lucrative deal.

They recently landed a contract to refurb all US subs, a huge aviation contract, and a lot of the older US helicopters are getting overhauled (not a CW specific contract but they manufacture many major components on all US helos).

I bought in on a direct stock purchase DRIP last January. Have made large gains. Plan on holding for at least 5-10 years unless there is good reason to sell.

So I have a question for you guys.

Most of you know about the efficient market hypothesis, which basically states that the markets accurately reflect all the possible information that is available to market participants. Meaning that everything is priced exactly what it is supposed to be.

So, since in our digital world we have way more access to way more data than we did before, this would mean that the markets reflect the true nature of the economy even better than before.

With all this said, doesn't this mean that a market correction is highly unlikely in these circumstances? Since asset classes may not actually be overbought, but priced exactly according to what we currently know? So this would mean instead of the market crashing it would just go sideways for a while. Does that make sense?

i don't know. I hate F stock, i love the company but i hate the stock, i haven't been following for awhile i know Mark Fields was a fuck head when i owned F. The problem is their share structure, they have a bloated float, they need to cut divi and start a share buyback program imo. markets will always have ups and downs, if a market is moving sideways and has lack of volume it most of the time falls, algos pick this up and trade accordingly. The market isn't perfect and neither is the correlation between stock price and companies performance that is why there are opportunities to make money in the market. If the market always did what you are suggesting and following exactly where it should be then everyone would be trading the same way and nobody would make money imo. Its a zero sum game.

If you've spent any time trading any market, you'll see it doesn't make any sense.

Look at the crypto scene. Shit is going up 10000% based on nothing. Humans are not rational, and they're not even irrational in a completely predictable way.

You could write a bot to buy only stocks based on valuations and sales, and it would probably perform much worse than buying the latest meme stock like Tesla or Google or Facebook..

Market prices are driven by stock demand and FOMO.

It's hard to predict timing of crashes, but all the FOMO in the world can't save an overinflated price in the long term. Use overall market PE to get a sense of where we're at.

However, I'm not convinced this means there cant / wont be a market crash. Information is not perfect. Some people know more than others. Some are misinformed. Information is not complete -- there may be unpredictable events in the future that will crash the market. One worry is that investors are playing to win by completely excluding devastating events like a world war from their calculations. And of course, markets may not be efficient -- see bitcoin.
