Sat there and saw my thread get pruned, seems we went off topic a little, lol.
Anyways, recent buyer dilemmas;
>List product for $13.98
>Description states I won't help with product setup
>Messaged few hours later
>Buyer ask's if product works for their device
>Warn buyer to keep away if they don't know how to use, for I don't provide help/returns
>Buyer buys
5 days later
>Buyer opens INAD case
>Call up eBay, get Indian accent
>Thinks I'm lying
>Tells me I'm at fault for not answering buyer correctly prior
>Drop call (not dealing with this)
>Call again
>American guy
>Tells me I'm fine and should call back 3 days (when he can escalate it)
>It's been 2 days

This shit better clear up, Indian people don't help much because their jobs depend on it, whilst Americans on the other hand don't give a fuck when they know the case is complete bull.

Couldn't you just hang up on people until you get a sympathetic rep? You'd never lose...

Also, if a manufacturer is selling their shit wholesale, but also at a massive mark-up that I can undercut by a lot and still make 300% percent profit, can I get in shit for doing it? Their product is surprisingly not shitty and highly-rated. The only problem is that they claim to have some sort of patent (which I can't find in the US database) but that doesn't matter if I buy it from them instead of getting a cheap fake, right? It protects intellectual property, not sell

Answering my own question.
>The exhaustion doctrine, also referred to as the first sale doctrine, is a U.S. common law patent doctrine that limits the extent to which patent holders can control an individual article of a patented product after an authorized sale. Under the doctrine, once an unrestricted, authorized sale of a patented article occurs, the patent holder’s exclusive rights to control the use and sale of that article are exhausted, and the purchaser is free to use or resell that article without further restraint from patent law.
Ha, ha ha, ha. Lol. I'm really going to enjoy undercutting these hajis.

lol ikr, and well they do it for the clicks nowadays. Someone might be dumb enough to go through with it. It's similar to what everyone does nowadays with the;

>Lists price at $33.33

>Changes price to $333.33

New buyer thinks it's worth that since the item is at the very top (since it was being sold for cheap and alot of sales), buyer buys, lmao.

Anyways, I laugh my ass off whenever I see an item and can tell it's fake due to low grade production.

>.99 items

are good for starters but just know you'll be losing money that way. I for one just used my real ebay acc (that I bought things on) to raise my feedbacks by buying $.2 to .5 things from bids (since eBay stopped sellers from selling anything lower than a buck on buy it now). Selling $1 items as a new seller isn't a bad idea but again, you won't make shit. Just find something that sells on eBay and match it from China, so you can at least get your money back (even though you're not making anything) while raising feedback/trust from eBay.

1) Buy Products sold at ridiculous sales tax & VAT markup in another country, for instance, Western brand designer goods in China.
2) Buy jewellery, watch, belt, cufflinks, etc - stuff you can WEAR
3) Post all boxes, receipts, etc to Chinese hotel before you arrive
4) wear all items through airports, or take ferries and trains or coaches at least part of the way - cheaper and less security
5) remove in China, clean and repackage items
6) sell direct at markup in private sales
7) fly back to the US, across the international date line - the other way - a day disappears, this never happened
8) you weren't in China on Tuesday, since you will spend tomorrow (tuesday) in the US.

For starters, Alibaba isn't a good start since it's organized for well settled businesses.. Try starting off with Aliexpress.

>>660801

If you're selling cheap things that not everyone buys, you'll be fine. If you're selling costly things and you have less than 50 feedbacks, most people (like myself) would be skeptical to buying from you. If you truly want to start a business I'd convert the account(s) to business (more benefits).

Used to fix iPhone 4/4s back plates back in high school on Craigslist. Big $$$, but nowadays everyone does phone repair. Just know if you're the new guy with low grade feedbacks, no one will be sending you their shit. Think about it, you're a buyer paying someone to take your $300 phone. If they don't have a track record, you could loose $280 (seeing that they paid $20 for repairs and got a refund). I would suggest to build your feedbacks first, just use eBay to buy random shit you buy anyways...

Yea both is nice, just make sure you update your inventory. Amazon IMO is better for selling (can't believe I'm saying this), but it's only because eBay loves to shit on sellers with their defect bullshit.

If you're doing Amazon btw you should go all in, as in pay the monthly fee and all. For if you don't you'll end up having to only be able to select slow shipping, meaning your buyers won't buy from you because they think the item will take forever to arrive.

lol Idk if you're asking me or this OP, I'm the old OP from the previous eBay thread.

IMO that's a bad idea, you wouldn't just get in trouble, your acc would be shut down. lol we discussed this, you'd be litterally saying that you would be shipping the item quickly (10 days max) when it would take up to a 20 days or even possibly have the item get lost (like most other single item orders coming from chinapost/epacket).

Either way the customer would see the tracking and see it's coming from China...lol wtf I'm sorry but how do people not understand this...

What you're asking is if you should be able to legally "Drop ship", plain and simple, for the location you gave; no you can't.

>> No.662273

>>662256

That's called drop shipping, and while perfectly legal, you will piss customers off. Also, Chinese shipping is very slow and you'll get people pissed off about having to wait.

Reminds me of a story I read a few years ago where a guy was dropshipping items from Wal-Mart.com and someone left a negative because they "got ripped off". They were mad that they bought an item on eBay for whatever the price was and the "seller" bought it cheaper from Wal-Mart.com and had it shipped directly to their house.

whenever he says how much he made, he's talking about revenue not profit. he's selling a few cheap items a day and maybe making a few dollars on each. the funny thing is that for the amount of time he spends on this shit he's making less than minimum wage, but since niggers are adverse to work it's better this way according to him.

then when he had a bit of profit saved up he buys 4 label printers and keeps showing them off, i.e. again nigger mentality in full swing.

the guys that actually make 10k/month profit on ebay have a warehouse and people packing the items for them. they might make a few cents to a few dollars on an item, but they sell so many that they still make good profit.

Since I knew how eBay worked from using it so much for buying, it was easy to copy what other sellers were doing and better it. Had to scour the webs for good Chiense sites;

>Look for items (everyday and still tday)
>Check eBay if it was selling
>Calculate profit margin
>If more than $3 profit I would buy

Egyptians did it, Romans, etc...Caucasians or "Jews" couldn't subdue their own so they went after a weaker(in technology) race.

Stop taking U.S. history and take a Afro Americ class to find out how leaders that went back to Africa were assassinated. Why? because they were going to build a beautiful nation that would make the Africans prosperous.

i have taken a history of africa class. this is why all the drivel you're spewing is so hilarious.

i bet you think that the hyperinflation of currency in zimbabwe is also the white men's doing.

post colonial africa was left with infrastructure built for trade. it was filled with railroads all leading to the coasts, which i'm sure have long since been scrapped.

I wonder if this would work in The Netherlands since people don't use eBay alot.
The site that's most used is more like craigslist that doesn't bind users to their bids so they can easily fuck off without consequences.

Anyone else in the same situation?

I hear the same shit every time this ebay topic or someone claims to have a small biz. Although yes some of us don't make tons of money for the time and effort put in. At least for me I am able to work at my own pace. Take a break whenever. And generally do whatever I want because I don't have a boss. I started on ebay and was able to buy some equipment I needed to start my own biz from the eBay profits. I still barely make shit but it's nice seeing something you started from the ground steadily grow. I'm confident it will pay off in a few years.

>FuckingAwesome.jpg
>Calls me up a few hours later saying the Ps3 won't let him sign in
>Ask what he means
>He hulk modes on me over the phone
>Since he knows where I live I say to come back and return
>He comes back and RIGHT there and then is when he tells me it's not letting him sign into PSN
Meaning I locked the Ps3 to my account (THE SAME FUCKING DAY HE BOUGHT IT BECAUSE I DIDN'T THINK ANYONE WOULD BUY IT).
>Tell him I can call up Sony right now and remove my acc
>He's still pissed
>Tells me why he even traded
>"Wife left, he didn't use it anyways and just wanted something for him and the boys back at base"

I was so fucking pissed at my self...could've sold that TV tops $900 (seeing that of course it was a 2012 model so people would dumb the price down).

A tip in return for these eBay threads.

The thermal printers you use will be rated for x amount of kms/miles.

The main failures points are the thermal heads and the platten rollers. Not familiar with those models but buying replacement parts would be reasonably cheap.

You can also get the industrial printers that run 24/7 that get 50kms per print head and hold 300 meters of labels. These would be $1-2k depending on model and specs.

If you are using ribbon vs thermal direct Toshiba have a model that saves ribbon (B-EX).

Also, do you have a theme for your item descriptions? What are your thoughts on themes and adding images in the description area?

I put my description in a box with animations (.gifs) around it to catch the buyer's eye. I try to keep it clean so the buyer won't have to read alot (unless it's a product I don't know how to use and am just trying to get rid of).

I'm using the Zebra model so I can get at least 25k prints off these before they bust. I've been looking into the better quality but can't seem to find one that's mostly user friendly.

Used to just steal other peoples description but when I learned how to HTML it was much easier to just edit it out.

technically you can still accept checks and money orders, not everyone is going to want to pay like that though, and it takes a considerably much longer time to receive payment, which will ultimately backfire since the customer will complain on the time being taken to process the order.

In my experience, the people who ask to do a money order/check don't care about the wait time. But it's usually older people who want to do that.

I'm fine with it, of course. Less money I have to pay those kikesuckers at PayPal
