Anyone who complains that much about a $9.98 product is a poorfag who hates his life probably.

So in short, take whatever joy in knowing that his life is shit and hopefully yours isn't.

The moment the buyer leaves a negative, I cut off communication and ban the buyer. No refund, no nothing.

Don't sweat the negative. Most people are smart enough to look at feedbacks if they're concerned about a non-100% and they'll read comments. Just comment on how the buyer was and people will understand.

>>652129

The whole process is a headache, you have to know what you're doing to get anywhere.

My Tip
>Search the online markets for hours
>Look at Chinese product
>Check for it on eBay
>Sales?
If no, go to bottom of this post
If yes, continue
>Click the item(s)
>Type in random numbers in the "amounts"
>"40" ("Please put lower quantity)
>"30" ("Please blah blah blah")
>"29" ("Blank"
This means the seller only has 29 of that item left
>Look at his sold
>Dates
>Types of buyers (feedback scores)
>If it's above 50 and 2 months recent
>Buy his product and compete
>Look at his "other sales"
>He's prob me
lol
>Sell everything he's selling
Profit?

If No
>Click "Completed Listings"
>If previous sales you might be in luck
>Check previous sales seller
>Check date
>If close, he might still be selling and waiting for order
>If good margin, compete or email him for ceasefire
Profit?

As I said, I sell Chinese shit.

There's one item I think might be counterfeit but I can't seem to find out exactly nor do I really care because eBay is fine with it and buyers don't complain (over 500 sales with this particular item).

The rest of my inventory is legit and just Chinese trash people love to try out.

I do free shipping on all items, like c'mon...buyer's expect free ship nowadays.

Everyone clicks the "Best Offer" Scrolldown "Free shipping + Lowest".
I'm usually the guy selling it for lowest so they always pick me.

I sell things under 3oz (most of my inventory) so I don't even need much space to store it. It cost only $1.93 to ship.

Also, lol since I don't actually drop off my packages at the post office, i can put whatever bs weight I want on a heavy package and it doesn't even get returned to me. (I try not to all the time but when I'm running low on dough I do).

See eBay just needs to ditch the entire "Upload pictures here" for disputes and actually MAKE the buyers looking to get a refund upload a whole video of them wearing or testing out their purchases.

OP here,

Not a good plan imo, you're selling heavy products and you're a new seller, two things that should never cross.

If you were a long time seller you would know how to ship those heavy things for 1/4 the price you'd be paying (which is up to $50 per order seeing that you said Furniture).

I'm guessing you're referring to those Craigslist ads for sellers who take up equity in your company? If so, I for one wouldn't want to partner with you for you're not a company, you're just a hobby. No offense

You're talking about drop shipping but your method sounds like you have no idea how business works. lol you'd be wasting time and money doing all that switching of your address for each purchase.

Also, you'd be bombarded with negative feedbacks for people would see that the order they made on you is coming from China, they could've just ordered from China if they wanted but you said you were shipping from the U.S. so they wanted you even though your price was higher (since it was faster shipping). You wouldn't last a week before ebay closed your account.

we started with 400 bucks and have been 50/50 since day one. we now have about 800k inventory owned in full. after everything including taxes, we walk with 30%, so about 15% of that would be mine free and clear [almost 200k after taxes]. however, i leave about 2/3 of that in the business to grow it and he does the same.

I always include best offer, lol but I always put the acceptance price like one cent below my asking price and the automatic ignore price one cent under. Love to see my item history to see how people kept putting a dollar more thinking I set it that low.

>>653504
>Selling w/o tracking is just asking to be fucked in the ass, you'll have no proof what so ever to say that you shipped the item (Even if you provide a receipt). eBay would prob let you off the 1st and 2nd time (seeing the value of the product) but after that expect to start losing all the cases.

are you proud to make up stories against your customers and ebay? my feedback % is the same as yours. i dont even think about issues with customers like you do, because they're so rare. and 9/10 times i just send another item or give a refund so i can move on and the customer+ebay is happy.

The only tip I can give you is to have your own sorting facility. Then you can pay 1/2 of 1/2 of what I pay for shipping. There's a company I know of that sells toilets and ships them for $3, why? Because they have their trucks and take it straight to the postal
(or someshit idk).

The only problems I run into are plain idiots that don't understand common sense and think everything is because of me. I'm the type of seller that walks through a blizzard just to drop off one mail

The two guys who do this for a living and keep posting here, thanks, this is really good info.

I'm going to make a foray into the Chinese import business via Alibaba soon, and right now I'm deciding between products. I'm looking at three general areas: electronics, bathroom and kitchen fixtures, and military surplus. I've found products where I could make a $15-$20 profit on each, and now I'm trying to narrow it down to one for now.

I've got two questions. First, are electronics as bad an idea as I've heard? Many people advise against importing Chinese electronics. Second, if I'm not the cheapest (though I plan to be), highest rated seller, can I expect any purchases? I mean, I'm not selling really expensive shit but I personally wouldn't but a $40-$80 product off Amazon with no reviews. I'm also planning on using Amazon and Ebay exclusively to begin.

OP here
You can use this>>652156 for help

>Electronics
If you're going into electronics straight from random suppliers in China, you're gonna have a bad time. Selling anything that contains memory from China is going to be fake memory. You're going to sell mass tablets you bought thinking you could make at least $20 off then realize that the 16GB your supplier said was on it was actually only 1GB.

>Batroom
If you're not selling floor mats, there's no reason to get into here unless you're bed bath and beyond

>Kitchen (aka a woman)
Chinese culinary breaks after first use, you'd be swarmed with negative feedbacks

>Highest Rated = More Sales
Not so much, even if you lowered your price it still wouldn't matter. A seller and I sell the same exact product for the same price. Yes I'll say his items are above mine most of the time but it just depends. If you're not selling it, your item will gradually move down. We both sell the same but buyers choose on who to buy from. Take for instance, I for one would rather buy from a seller with fewer feedbacks, why? Because he's bound to help me out because he knows what I can do to hurt his account. So my purchase should arrive quicker. Also it feels more like you're talking to the seller one-on-one. Big sellers usually take more time to respond due to multiple questions.

>Amazon
I wouldn't if I was you but hey, the more sales the better. Just do some research on Amazon beforehand.

>Alibaby
You might think this is the best place to buy your ching shit but there's actually better places. Just gotta look.

>Post an ad on Craigslist telling everyone how they can get famous on GWR
>Setup a date for your customers and only ask for $1 each dick.
>Customers show up
>Start sucking
>Stop when you get tired

Finding a legit manufacturer is harder than I thought especially with my 12-14 hour work days. I can't imagine getting a practical profit from selling on eBay or amazon from anything lower than an 80% markup from the bulk wholesale price unless you're pushing out over $8,000 worth of goods (this is primarily amazon).

I have a few items that look practical enough to sell online, but I really only want to invest $3500 in the business and build it from profit. Will real Chinese manufacturers laugh at me if I only order $200-600 worth of goods or does it depend on the volume (I don't plan to sell anything Chinese I had to spend over $30 to get).

No, they won't. I've heard of people who bought 10 items, then 100 and then increased it.

At first you ask for "samples" from the manufacturer, typically a small shipment (~10 items, also depends on what you're buying) and then you check if those samples sell.

Then you order more and so on.

Start small. Check yard sales, thrift stores, Craigslist, etc. Do this so you can learn the ropes of eBay and build up some positive feedback. You won't be making the big bucks, but you need to learn how it works and get the hang of operating your own business.

Then you'll start developing an entrepreneurial mind. You'll start asking yourself, "can I make money off this?" I stumbled across my product by accident. I started selling them and there was a demand, and no one else does this. I got lucky to find a niche market.

Which leads to the next step. Once you're established, find a niche product you can buy in bulk and resell. You ideally want a product with high profit margin and little/no competitors. This is what OP does. There's also another guy on /biz/ who has a half million dollar business selling computer parts on eBay... unless that guy is OP ??

Guys... I just figured out my product. It covers 2 different niches with millions of possible customers. It's small, and very easy to get my hands on. Has great margins too. The best part is that I can't find any other American competitors really selling it, its just chinks posting in chinglish on ebay and amazon, and even those fuckers are making sales. I'm so excited that my hands are shaking. I've spent so long looking for the perfect product and now I've found it. Now that the hard part, thinking of a product, is done, I'll be fine finding a good supplier I think. My creativity sucks but my execution is pretty good. Fuck I'm so excited.

You can order samples for as little as $40 depending on the item. Lots of people buy 10 samples of a given item from a Chinese manufacturer and sell just that 10 items to test the waters. Then they buy 100 items and so on. Depending on your margin you could even buy the 100 for the profit from the 10 items.

I read a journey thread on an entrepreneurial forum that I frequent where an experienced guy started a company with 15k and sold it for six figures within 3 yrs. He just kept reiterating that he didn't reinvent the wheel, and to just look around and think how you can improve upon things/add value to things people already need and use. So I thought about a problem that many people, including myself, run into. A lot. And then I looked at products that would solve that problem. And now I'm going to sell that solution to others.
Just take a look around you. Anything you see has been sold by somebody to somebody. If you can just imagine a way to improve on that process, you can make money. The possibilities are endless.

For anybody looking for a product, here's one that I'm too big a pussy to do cause I'm scared of the FDA/don't want to hurt people with shitty medical supplies. But I think it's a good example.

You can get Chinese HIV test kits for $.5 and sell them for $20, $10 less than the nearest competitor. They're light and easy to ship. I'd advise against such a product, but that's an example of a gold mine if you're not scared of the FDA (is obviously not FDA approved, like its competitor) and have more faith in it than me (I think it's probably a piece of shit that will kill someone and get me sued/sent to hell). you don't know the half of it. i get to grade the shit engineering students turn in, and some don't even bother doing anything than writing down one equation and turning that in as their assignment. the majority just copy from solution manuals verbatim, even if there are errors in the manual, and there frequently are.

niggers are by far the worst. they either don't do the homework at all, or completely fuck it up, and they do the same exact thing on exams. either don't do the problem at all, or fuck it up so badly that it takes me as much time to figure out what they were trying to do in one problem as it takes me to grade a full exam for anyone else. the funny thing is that there's few niggers in engineering to begin with, so you would think the ones that get in would be smarter but they are by far the worst students.

.ca is Canada is mostly everyone in Canada will be buying/selling to Canadians, whilst here in the U.S., if a buyer searches for an item, U.S. items will pop up wayy before .ca, .ca may not even pop up at all. >even if there are errors in the manual, and there frequently are

Explain further. You're talking about professionally authored textbook solution manuals? I've only seen a few very minor errors in my accounting books, such as a forgotten indentation or a spelling error.

My housemate pays me to edit her essays for her. She's nice, but holy hell is she nearly illiterate. She writes exactly as she speaks, and she speaks black lingo; the result is catastrophic. Doesn't even follow elementary grammar rules. We're in university. I know I go to a third rate party school, but really? 54% acceptance rate, so it isn't like this is community college.

I kind of hope that people like that constitute the, what, sixty percent dropout rate? There are numerous people who definitely don't deserve degrees, and I have a terrible feeling they pass anyway.

Well man I didn't even sell anything yet. Basically I had an idea for a product and wanted to check if it exists. Hopped on ebay: it did, but was sold only by chinks (they had like 600 units sold, even though the shipping takes 1-2 months), so you'd just import that and people would buy exactly the same thing from you, but the shipping would take maybe 3 days.

That's in theory - I haven't sold a thing in my life.

manuals for engineering books are virtually entirely calculations. it's pretty common for either the final answer to be incorrect, or for there to be a mistake somewhere along the line that makes it impossible to go from one step to another as shown in the manual.

despite this, they just copy everything as shows up in the solution manual. curry niggers are by far the most notorious for this. i don't think i ever saw a homework by a curry nigger that wasn't essentially a photocopy of the solution manual.

i would say the bulk of them graduate. there aren't many people that i have seen drop out. it might take them longer to graduate but most eventually do.
