When I hit 30 I finally realized I wasn't special.
But that just makes me more motivated, because I'm not fated or blessed by outside forces I finally learned that anything I want in life is completely up to my own effort and work ethic.

Its cut out the bullshit fantasies and grounded me in reality. I no longer leave things to "luck" and "hope". Risk is still a factor, but a calculated one, not blind faith in nothing.

I got rid of my "I'm special" attitude probably while in college. And yet, I still got rich, probably because I got rid of my bad attitude early on

>At what age did you realize that you probably won't get rich

As I moved up and saw many people and did better myself, it adjusted my perceptions of what rich is, and what it meant.

In 1998 I was making $70k a year. I lived in a nice neighborhood, went out and ate and drank whenever I want, took taxis home all the time. Belonged to a gym, rented a car (in New York City) when I was travelling. I took vacations in other countries. Also money was piling up in my bank as I was saving too. The only two things - I don't like large recurring expenses but I might have gotten a larger apartment if I had enough saved up as a cushion. Anyhow I get bumped to $80k. Nothing changes. The only difference is, instead of waiting one month to buy a new laptop, I can buy it this month. And so on.

Maybe if I got married and had kids I'd need more money. But I pretty much had enough back then. I liked my job too, I used to wake up in the morning excited to go into work, because I liked my work and the people I worked with.

So if there was a whole rigmarole I had to go through to become "rich", why bother? If you're making $100k-150k you're in the top 5-10% of Americans. If you like your job, or are well educated, or have your own company etc. it's great. You listen to Mark Zuckerberg etc. and they say they didn't do it for money and they probably didn't. He still wears a hoodie. People who can't afford to live on $150k a year are the kind that don't make $150k a year.

> and that you're not very special
You can find many people who can push a broom. I am not an A+ superstar in my field, and am not sure I want to make the effort to be one. But I am good enough and do well enough.

Zuckerberg said he'd do a webpage (community) for two old money guys, stole their idea while telling them he was working on it, and then launched it while still lying to their faces. Yeah, he fucking did it for the money.

What country? Some Eurotrash faggot hole, or Australia? Both of which.. $60k USD is more like $30k in the US.

The average income in the US is $30k or so. Average household income (counts ~1.5 adults working) is $50k. At any rate, $50k/year for a single person is a nice middle-class income in most of the US outside of SF and NYC.

I've realized it by now. I'm only 21 so I'm just trying to live a comfortable and happy life with purpose. I've seen many people go through their lives miserable trying to pursue money. I'm following my interests now but still focusing on establishing a fulfilling career.

Well again, I'm a student. Wakeup in the afternoon, fap, take a shit, check out what sold, print out the labels, put outside for postman, gto class, come home, fap, go to sleep, wakeup and do the same.

all while saving up for what I really want to do to get me to my millionaire state.

Look forward to making up to 2k this month, more next month...and so on.

Lucky for you, the only reason I started this biz was to get away from mine. Mostly mom problems, not even bad...lol it's just that now that everyone has grown up, her Nigerian senses has kicked in and she's starting a business (sending clothes from Goodwill to Nigeria, really good $$$ since she has connections).

Only problems is that she was making me work with her, even if she paid me I wouldn't want to go into that since she'd keep making me do all the hard work. I'd rather sleep and fap all day in my $500 shared apt with fellow college students who are chill as fuuuuck.
$200 more I could've gotten my own apt, but I don't want to get used to living alone yet.
