The reason why this statement is likely to be true is because your cant use the cars power outside of Germany (is there any other country with highways that lack a speed limit?).

Which means, this car doesnt do anything for you but make your dick a few inch longer. Its not practical, especially in crowded cities it would probably be better to just take the subway, drive a Smart or take a cab and on top of that it costs a shit ton of money on a monthly basis (taxes, insurance, gas). Oh, and its impossible to brag with it half the time because its impossible to carry a car around with you. A $50,000 Kiton suit or $100,000 watch will probably serve the purpose of bragging way better than a car.

These cars are a dime a dozen at this point and will draw just as much attention as a lambo. 450hp in a 2000lb car... wind in your hair.. what's not to like?

infact... probably more positive attention, and less "look at that fucking lambo douchebag" attention.

Hold their value very well as well.

Cars are funny like that. Some cars are really hot and great cars.. but other cars that are just as hot and just as great, can be SOOOO much cheaper while being just as much fun (opinion may vary here - just depends on what you HAVE TO HAVE and how much money you have to play with)

Personally, when I hit a half million in wealth, I bought myself a cobra instead of a lambo. I don't regret it. Maybe I'll move up to the lambo when I hit 1 or 2 mill in cash...

Who cares about women?! You dont buy a Lambo to impress chicks, you buy it to make your coworkers jealous. However, this only lasts so long.

>>630603
>women will give a compliment maybe after 10 or 15 times
Because they dont understang shit about suits and ACTUAL tailoring. They are under the impression that some dress involves as much effort as a fully canvassed suit. If you buy anything to impress women youre a lost cause anyway.

Never buy stuff because of other people. Only buy things you deem worth the money. Unless youre a highclass lawyer, then youre kinda forced to buy expensive suits. But since it serves a purpose (people will perceive you more positively and probably treat you with more respect) this is something you will want to do anyway.

Might be another reason why people lose interest in sportscars so quickly. The vast majority probably buys one to brag about it, not because they actually are interested in the vehicle.

I personally wouldn't be able to stand driving a lambo day-to-day. A lambo is essentially a LOOK-AT-ME car and it makes no sense to have it be your primary riding machine. Cars like the 911 have a similar prestige (While not as good) but can driven day to day.

If I had a lambo it would essentially be the "sunday" car. The one I drove if I was going to fuck bitches. Also

Women do notice high-quality clothing, but they just won't tell you about it. They don't want to sound needy or seduced too easily... Of course, they won't have an idea about the efforts required to make a bespoke suit, but they see the difference (as we all do) between a sharp Cifonelli suit and your average Brooks Brothers sack, even if they can't vocalize why.

>>630612
But I am European and my suits are bespoke-made in Europe, not simply "tailored". The term bespoke implies a level of sophistication and fine craftsmanship only a few tailors can (or want to) reach.

You have no idea, because you never had a bespoke suit made in England or France, and you have no knowledge of this craftsmanship.

A bespoke suit means:

1) a pattern is made just for you and your small deformities,
2) thirty measurements or more are taken for optimal precision,
3) several fittings are done, at least three or four, to ensure a perfect fit,
4) there's extensive handwork an inferior tailor can simply not do,
5) conformity to your desires regarding details (even unusual) and the cut,
6) canvas and the best possible wools are used, including vintage wools or rare stuff like vicuna or even shahtoosh,
7) the master tailor will work and rework your suit until the result is perfect (up to 100 hours and more),
8) cleaning, ironing and alterations are done by your tailor for free and forever,
9) it looks superior and feels extremely light and comfortable,
10) it takes several months to be done and delivered.

Pic related, a true bespoke jacket you won't find in your average "tailoring" shop.

If were are talking about luxury fashion then $500 pays for a shirt or a pair of pants.

The thing is: most of the profit is made at the mid to high level. If a designer brand has multiple subbrands and they sell tshirts for $250 or jeans for $400+, thats where the profit margins come from. When you spend $2000 on a cashmere coat or $3000 on a leather jacket the profit margin isnt actually that big because not only do you pay for exclusivity, but also for the materials and the design. Which doesnt mean that the price is completely justified, but it sure as hell is closer to reality. Unless of course you buy shit like Burberry trenchcoats that were made in Taiwan, costs of 100% cotton and retail for $1600.

I honestly think that the major reason why people started to value clothes less is 2008. They realized how fast they can lose money, so they started to appreciate luxury goods less and went with wool that was only woven 100 instead of 200 times for example. Whether this will change again is yet to be seen. I would welcome it if the market was cleansed from shit ridden companies such as Burberry for example.

Walk down the street during the summer in NYC or DC in a goddamn blazer, then tell me how comfortable your suit is when you have pit stains at 930am and just got your shit dry cleaned last weekend.

Additionally, the recent crop of prominent tech business leaders - Gates, Jobs, Zuckerberg, etc. - don't wear suits when they make public appearance.

Losing a kilo here and there isnt bulking you fucking imbecile. And no person with an ACTUAL career has the time or nerves to 'bulk'. Which you apparently seem to think simply stands for lifting weights, which it doesnt.

Bulking requires you to consistently increase the weight youre lifting to gain a severe amount of mass. You generally will want to be on a protein diet or something to speed this up. Thats bulking, increasing weight by X%. Not just lifting and increasing the weight by 1% every month. Thats not something many people do, LET ALONE many successful businessmen.

The rest of the time its 25 degrees and if you wear light mateirals you shouldnt sweat. Not even gonna start on the fact that you will spend 95% of your day in an office building anyway. Those usually have air conditioning.

>it snows or rains badly you end up dirtying
Then you should wear an overcoat or raincoat. I heard those exist for a reason. Or you know, these things called umbrellas. Dont know if you have heard of them.

>vast majority of the workforce has moved away from it.
Towards more casual blazers which essentially are suit jackets as well. They simply have different cuts, designs and are worn with non matching trousers. Damn. Totally different thing. No reason for them to fit, right?

You bring up completely retarded situations. Consider you position and rethink the stuff you spout. 3 of 4 seasons promote wearing a blazer/suit. Your argument for not doing so are the few weeks in summer when its 30 degrees+? You can do better.

Bulking is the process of gaining mass by eating a caloric suficit and increasing either your training volume or lifting weight.
Cutting is eating a caloric deficit while losing or (hopefully) maintaining your strength levels.
By gaining mass you will gain some fat and some muscle, but unless you live a sedentary lifestyle you will never gain only fat.
That's what those terms actually mean no matter how you chose to perceive them.

To efficientlty bulk up you not only need to consume a shit ton more food than you usually do (especially if youre still planning on eating proper food), you also need significant amounts of sleep.

Youre basically required to sleep AT LEAST 8 hours a day while trying to gain sufficient amounts of muscle mass. Which makes up for a gigantic part of your freetime, especially when you spend 70hours+ at the office or with wortk related stuff. Which is something most people who are successful businessmen do. Thats why its bullshit to claim that a lot of successful people bulk. They lack the time to effectively do so. Staying fit isnt bulking.

Of course there might be some people who do this. But they are a fraction of society and sure as hell not the rule.

>someone wouldn't have time for that
Thats why this conversation escalated to hard. We were arguing about people who actually have a packed job and spend most of their time at the office/doing work related things. Assuming you work 70+ hours a week, which is something quite a few people in certain fields do and is incredibly common among entrepreneurs you would piss away 56hours per week for something that serves no purpose since you can easily regenerate with naps for 6 hours daily. 56hours of the remaining 98 you have. Now add the time you need to work, get ready in the morning and general shit you might wanna do.

Youll be left with ~20 hours of freetime. The amount of people who will be willing to do this is pretty small, lets just put it this way. And thats the problem since some clown claimed that this was a common thing to do. Because it sure as hell isnt.

>how it's actually healthy to sleep 5 hours a night
No one claimed that. Arent you capable of simple math? I said 33% more sleep. Which means 6 hours are enough, 8 hours are an increase by 33%.

>He has sleeping problems and generally only gets 5 hours a sleep
And he doesnt look like he will ever make any money in his life or be commited to a well paying job. Not even gonna start on the fact that google image search doesnt give me shit so you could say whatever you want about him to prove your point.

>>631991
That depends on what your definition of being successful is. I agree with you that it is possible. However, most people will slave away a shit ton of time in the beginning to be in a comfortable position as fast as possible. I already mentioned some of the fields this is very common in.

>> No.632000

>>631993
Well yeah I can understand why most people wouldn't want to do that if there plate is that full. However, what I and other had an issue with was you saying that only "mentally handicapped monkeys around 20 do."

6 hours isn't bad and does have you waking up at the end of a REM cycle but is still not optimal. Again if your schedule is super busy then yeah sleep 6 hours but that doesn't mean that sleeping 7.5 to 8 hours for health is "bullshit."

He's Dan Green. I got a information from a friend of his that browses /plg/. It's just one example. Plenty of other big powerlifters like Mark Bell are known not to sleep much and my own bulk has been going fine off of 6 hours a night. I've gain strength and muscle just fine.

First of all, that guys on so much gear -- you really shouldn't use him as an example. Also, he lives to powerlift. Basically, his 9-5 is spent doing things to better himself at powerlifting. He probably lives in a shack. But still, he's got some informative youtube vids.

But to >>631993 's point -- if you have enough time to do cardio, you'll have enough time to "bulk," considering you're not really supposed to do much cardio while bulking anyway. I'll agree, just because you're bulking doesn't mean you're healthy.

But time-wise, it is 100% possible to bulk and work a 70 hour week. I'm an attorney and have a couple attorney friends working 70-80+/hrs a week and they have time for shit like this. It only takes about an hour for 3 days a week. Then you'll have to eat about 500 more calories a day (which is really not hard, as another anon said -- its about half a subway more). Then you just make sure you get at least 6-7 hours of sleep and there....you're bulking. Explain to me how you don't think businessmen can do this?

And yes, you don't see CEOs of fortune 500 companies doing this shit because old people physically cannot progress past a certain points. But that's like 45 yr olds. Anyone younger should have no problems and I've seen a few 50-60 yr olds putting up a 2plate bench easy.

I honestly think you just have something against people who are bigger than you.

I being a mechanic, born into a family who owns an import dealership, I can undoubtably tell you that you will get tired of your Lamborghini. Unless you look at your car as more than status symbol, method of transportation, or adrenaline rush you will get tired of it. I dont expect everyone to appreciate cars the way I do but theres something to be said for something original, historical, or sentimental. Besides a much better sports car can be created with the inflated price tag of a new Lamborghini..

And as for Lambo, you all are forgetting the #1 reason for buying it:
To get chicks easily and make other men jelly as fuck.

That's it. That's the thing that car was made for.

>handkerchief doesn't match tie

To give him a break handkerchief doesn't have to match tie. It's considered too try-hard and boring.
