You can get pretty decent hashrate with a laptop. My laptop with a 970M and 6700HQ is pulling a solid 450 MH/s in XMR-Stak.

This makes my computer lag like nothing I've ever experienced. Not even NiceHashMiner using cpu+gpu made it run this slow.

For anyone interested I tried this out on my i7 6700k/GTX 1060 (6 GB if it matters) for a few minutes just to see what my hash rates would be, which was approx 650 h/s with 200 of that from the CPU.
