Im about to go to basic training for the military (I need to leave my parents, and I cant afford college) and since im leaving for a few months and still want gains that i get from trading I was wondering if it was too late to start mining. I don't want to mine Bitcoin, maybe LTC or ETH. I was wondering the stuff I needed, or possibly a guide in a pastebin somewhere. Any tips appreciated.

Also, mining thread.

Mining is profitable, however it's not plug and play. Rigs crash daily and require a lot of upkeep. Would recommend to take whatever money you were planning to invest in mining and doing the buy and hodl instead. Good luck in the military anon.

Veteran here - first off good luck.

You're not going to have time to worry about your crypto or your mining rig. Take the money you would have invested in mining and put it into some top 50 coins.

Not for nothing I'm considering doing same. I just don't know what to do with my dog or mining rigs.
