In this case, "doing jack shit" most likely didn't mean just sitting there, it means not having any obligations to anyone or anything. If you want to game all day, that's fine. If you want to leave on a backpacking journey for three months, that's fine too. If you have that kind of financial security, you don't have to do anything at all in the sense that there's nothing you HAVE to do, since the money rolls in anyway.
