1. You need to convert your $100 in fiat to coins (I recommend ETH, fuck BTC). You can do this through several places, Coinbase being the most popular (but they're trash, so look into alternatives).

2. Once you have your ETH you transfer it to an exchange (Cryptopia, KuCoin or Binance being some of the larger ones) depending on the coin you want to trade for.

3. After you've set up an account through the exchange you transfer your ETH from Coinbase, etc to the exchange, and you're ready to trade.

Just research the shit out of whatever coin is being shilled here, YouTube, Reddit whatever. Check things like if it has active development, use cases, upcoming announcements. Also just keep watching prices and charts and you will get a jist of the trading trends.

We're in a bull market still so there's a lot of gains to be made. Since you're starting with just 1k, I would suggest you don't diversify too much. Pick just a couple of coins that can moon in the beginning and you can play it safer when your stack is larger hopefully.
