When you have an altcoin/eth price, will increase in ether value also mean increase in altcoin price?
Say alt/eth is 0.5$
Eth goes up by 100%
Will alt/eth now be 1$ or will price still be regulated by buys/sells?

If for two hundred thousand dollar you can buy a lamborghinis, would it mean that if dollar appreciated in value that you know get 1.5 lamborghinis? Think logically

No, the altcoin will still be $0.5. The buy orders scale with the increase in the value of the base commodity.

But if designated eth price for one coin is 0.000892 ($1) and the alt/eth price stays the same, number in $ can still fluctuate if eth value changes, r-right?

By asking the question like you did you can will have a lot of different answers, and the retard newfags who pretend to be oldfags or better than you are not contributing. Neglect them.

You should have added the rule that your alt coin stays the same dollar value if you want the answer that I think you are looking for.

The answer to your first question is 'No'.

The real answer, that many in this threat thinks is 0.25$ is practically incorrect if you actually did not want to apply the abovementioned rule.

Theoretically the answer to your question would be very hard to calculate, because IF you Eth price increases by 100%, it means it doubled in value. That money that made it DOUBLE in value came from somewhere else. What is that 'somewhere else' you may ask? I can tell you. It's everywhere else that has value, because the money is taken from there. People are contributing from different points of storage of values. You may have heard the phrase "the cryptomarket is a zero sum game", that is because what is taken out of the market must first be put in. So in order for Ethereum to rise 100% in value, you would have to take that out of everything else (which includes the money pool currently invested in your alt) so the equation to calculate it theoretically contains several variables which I can not display right now (too tired). But basically if Eth goes up by a 100% and no value is added to your alt, your alt/ETH ratio will be <0,25
