FunFair is licensing their customizable gambling software to casino operators for absolutely free and their business model revolves around the FUN token. Here's a comment by CEO Jez San that explains this: https://www.reddit.com/r/FunfairTech/comments/7mcwn2/opening_my_own_casino_with_funfair/drt6p8o/?context=3

Why use Ethereum when you can use Bitcoin?

>but Bitcoin is slow and Ethereum is fast

Oh so you're saying superior technology can be advantageous

>well duh

Well what if I told you FUN powered games use off chain channels to execute the gambling, thus wasting no gas/ether? And that the blockchain contains the game odds so the gaming experience is both fun and fair, improving user trust and removing the fear of lawsuits for casinos? If only 5% of all online gambling (not even physical casinos, just online) use FunFair, we're talking about $3 billion dollars worth of value right there being transferred with FUN tokens. That's 4x above where FunFair is at right now and that's the bare minimum of growth I expect out of FUN. The online gambling industry is growing rapidly. I wouldn't be surprised to see FunFair get usage in over 10% of online gambling given it's technologically more general purpose and useful than Edgeless or ETHbet.

Don't even get me started if real casinos used it. Then it would hit silly numbers. But given the bull market we're in, I expect a fair 5-10x on it over the next several months.

FunFair's state channel tech is definitely one of the key features that makes FunFair stand out, since literally no one else has developed turing-complete state channels for smart contracts. It'll make playing their games scalable and fast to play while saving the players from recurring transaction fees.

Because pajeet can't buy 1 ETH but he can buy 100 FUNs and hope you fall for the scam.

(Asked the same question weeks ago, no one gave me a convincing answer. Something about white labeling the software so people can crate their own casinos, but again, nothing that can't be done with other platforms arguably better. If your casino doesn't have the money to invest into software and they need a free option, that's not a casino you want to be playing at)

if you wanted to gamble, would you feel better knowing that you can PROVE that you're getting the odds advertised? that is just one advantage - almost ANYBODY can open a casino and it will be provably fair with low costs/barriers of entry. An animal shelter can open an online casino to collect charitable donations. If you think that's far fetched, it's literally in the whitepaper which some of us haveactuallybotheredtoread.

What you didn’t bother to read are gaming comission regulations, lol. No, your average joe is not opening a casino anytime soon. There’s a reason why gambling is one of the businesses with the highest barriers of entry. You need TONS of liquidity not to mention all the tests you have tompass to get a license (or the bribe money if you cant pass them)

As for the odds, there are enough review sites out there to easily find out which online casinos are legit and which arent and then again, if they wanted to be fully transparent and lock it in a contract, there’s no reason why it can’t be done with ETH.

Yup, free definitely equals bad. No one wants to save money paying huge licensing fees, hosting servers, and paying employees to keep operations running.

Okay, I'm done being sarcastic now. Tell me what other platform offers all of FunFair's benefits: zero transaction fees between wagers, scalable, quality UIs for a multitude of games, customization, ability for 3rd party developers to create their own games with FunFair's software, zero gaming servers, and provably-fair transparent gameplay. FunFair is the only developer who has working turing-complete state channels and offers a product that benefits casinos and players in ways not possible before.
