XRP isn't focused on becoming an everyday currency. It's focused on cross border payments for banks or big corporations who need nostro accounts for liquidity. Using xRapid they can save up to 30%. They buy XRP, transfer it, sell XRP for the countries currency. Otherwise they would have to have cash sitting in every country with different currency(nostro accounts). They could use that sitting cash for something else.

No because exchanging the Fiat currency is through the medium is more difficult and slower/costlier. I as a business am psyched I can exchange the goods and services quickly - I can worry about changing it back to my Fiat currency later. In an accrual sense I just add XRP as my asset and then credit or debit gains/losses as I need. It's one entry instead of multiple currencies. You lose with each different currency. This makes one loss/exchange vs a ton. If I have a global business, I can receive XRP and then switch back to my currency or I can accept dollars, euros, pounds, pesos, etc and then switch all of those back to my Fiat. Why not one?

Corners are so scared they will pull now every string to get ripple down from cmc.
