Cancer cells like every other cell do need glucose and glutamin to produce energy so that they can divide and thus propagate, but so does every other type of cell in your body including those that govern your immune system. The theory that you can "starve" a cancer out, while technically true, doesn't actually involve using ivermeme to do jack shit and there's still a lot of hurdles to overcome that this method might in the future.
