APMEX black friday sale will have 1g gold bars with 100% off premium, though they limit the sale to 1 per customer (fags). Sky is the limit though for generic silver rounds at 77% off premium, libertads 27% off premium...not too shabby.

> What is better to save value in, fiat or precious metals?
Obviously metals. I do own some crypto, but historically just use any profit to buy more metal. My savings account is essentially just PMs. I won't fault anyone for throwing some money into crypto, but holy shit that should only come after a healthy percentage of your savings/net worth into real assets like property, PMs, etc. Fiat -* IS *- debt.

If you're buying retail or want a particular piece for it's asthetics, then you're typically going to pay more. I regularly see 60 year old pieces that people paid hefty premiums for at the time go for 50% of spot. This is why it's best to have an actual strategy when stacking, and not just doing whatever you're told to by jewtubers or feel like at the time. Same for any investment strategy.

For gold, Eagles, Maples, Britannias, Sovereigns are the patricians coin of choice. Bars are gay unless they're fat. Jewelry is high IQ, but also high effort.

The political nature of money is what keeps them crabbing. When they revalue it happens overnight. PMs revaluing will pass through everyone, stackers and nonstackers, like a cold front moving through the atmosphere. And in that single instant your net worth will revalue. Not even having access to the internet at your fingertips will you be quick enough to FOMO.
History shows us this: They allowed a depression to squeeze your balls for 3.5 years before they revalued gold overnight. It was abrupt and you either had the real deal or you ate the losses. It is black and white.

I made $40,000 this year on GME alone and if it reaches the all time high of last May I'll make another $60,000.
Grinding out your life for cash to buy PMs is all well and good. But making leveraged trading gains to bolster your wealth will always be the faster way to wealth accumulation.
I made $75,000 randomly one morning in May when GME spiked from $20 to $80 for no reason at all and that should tell you everything you need to know about what it is you need to be doing. Once you got the suicide stack stashed away you should not fear putting some money on the table to take profits.
The entire world is trying to kick the can and when they inflate you'll want as many avenues to soak up the free money as possible. They'll keep silver suppressed as part of the can-kicking and it is the go-to means to cash out your credit investments.
Also, given the systemic-naked-short-sold nature of GME, it is a capital investment as it has already been over-sold. It is not going to crash but squeeze - hence why it is a safe investment. NVIDIA and BTC are credit investments because they are over-bought.

>The luxury and extravagance of the currency gamblers and their families form one of the most significant features in any picture of the social condition of that period. 77
>A few years before this the leading women in French society showed a nobility of character and a simplicity in dress worthy of Roman matrons. Of these were Madame Boland and Madame Desmoulins; but now all was changed. At the head of society stood Madame Tallien and others like her, wild in extravagance, daily seeking new refinements in luxury, and demanding of their husbands and lovers vast sums to array them and to feed their whims. If such sums could not be obtained honestly they must be had dishonestly. The more closely one examines that period, the more clearly he sees that the pictures, given by Thibaudeau and Challamel and De Goncourt are not at all exaggerated. 78
>The contrast between these gay creatures of the Directory period and the people at large was striking. Indeed much as the vast majority of the wealthy classes suffered from impoverishment, the laboring classes, salaried employees of all sorts, and people of fixed income and of small means, especially in the cities, underwent yet greater distress.

From Fiat Money Inflation in France (1789-1796) Hoeflation it seems is endemic to all inflations.

Yes this summer I posted a few gold rings I found. I mostly hunt during that time on the beach, I started to go on land a consistently only by a couple of months. Found a few interesting stuff but this one is the best by far. Next objective I guess is finding a gold coin, or maybe a pot of them!

This one was less than 10 cm deep, but on a plowed field. When they move the dirt it's easy for older stuff to often resurface.

>>59307316
I like to think to that whenever I found something old. Best part is on this field and around it I'm finding a lot of stuff from all periods.

People have definitely been there for centuries if not millennia, and now they are mostly empty farmlands in the middle of nowhere with only a tiny fraction of their history just beneath the ground.

Yes. I assumed that was the case before I responded. Also I would be prepared to never be able to do business with them again in the future, but that's a small price to pay. The fuck up is completely on them. If they had a problem with the bank then they never should have sent the order in the first place. I am aware this is a bit of jewy response but they should know better. I would report it as a scam and send the rest of their responses straight to the spam folder.

Out of curiosity, was the order a large one? Like over an toz gold?

I'm very disappointed to see this kind of reactions from pmg anons. If we value PMs it's because we value honesty and a just reward for the work of others, and PMs have forced men to keep it honest for millenias, until the tiny hat tribe transmuted paper into infinite drain of our workforce and took over the world this way. This is because (((they))) abused our trust that we are in such satanic dystopia. It's not by emulating them that we will make things better, we should prove we are better than them by our acts. By "basic detector" I suppose you mean a cheap chinese one paid 100$ or less. I guess they still detect metals but chances are it lacks stability, reliability and discrimination, and if you're near the sea salt water will drive it nuts. If you want to go there you should spend 300$ for a simplex or a vanquish. Jewelry in most cases is under the water or near the shoreline, so you want something decent in order to go there. I have an equinox 600.

Just remember it's a hobby. One day it will repay itself but that shouldn't be your primary objective.

$ is not real, it's just another representation of a currency, not real money.
it's a mask twisted by imagination into a crude mockery of intrinsic utility of usage, deriving alleged and assuptive valuations from the foolishness of the next suckered soul into swallowing the poorly crafted bait, it has no weight, no ability to enlighten or educate, only entrap and enduntue into serving the falsehoods of it's own demise. Once it had a promise of redemption in an authentic malable and workable medium of metal by with tangible things could be constructed to improve and enhance the quality and experience of all who partook of it's allure, but now with all ties cut to reality, diving further and deeper into obscurity and intangiblebity through self castration from the physical has mutated itself through mutilation in hopes of surviving in the shadows of the minds of the indoctrinated only in the dim glow of a blue lit screen of detachment from the real world in cyberspace.
It will never be a real money, in the analysis conducted by generations of people in the future, its remnants will become apparently clear through investigation and observation that it was always just a lie, a fictitious token of averice of imaginations of petulant children who didn't want to work.

The dollar is only stronger against other currencies, that does not mean the integrity of the dollar has been undermined in that time and is no longer structurally sound.
The banking system got so dangerously leveraged against the housing market that they literally had to use bank credit to buy $6TN worth of bonds just to tuck them away from the market because the illiquidity was causing rates to rise. So they basically monetized the losses and been trying to slow-roll inflation for the last 15 years because the only thing keeping them (and everyone afloat) is perpetually rising asset prices. Propped up not on fundamentals and people having money and high wages and savings and making sound investments, but the financial markets being flooded with liquidity which is TEMPORARILY propping up asset prices. Asset prices propped up with leverage always crash via a cascade of selling once they need to unwind and repay their debts - often caused by a collapse in margin collateral.

Silver usually shows up alongside Gold, & Copper.
Given the value ratio of gold vs silver, people refer to them as Gold mines. And given the quantity density of base metals, any mine would be considered a "copper mine" before you would call it a silver mine.
It's not common to find silver all by itself. And anyone who did find it would likely prefer to keep it off of the market and hidden if they could given the fact that Wallstreet is basically plundering the mining sector. The margins on silver is next to nothing, so extracting it as a by-product of other materials is what you have to do. Dedicated, undeveloped silver mines would likely just sit undeveloped until the silver manipulation breaks.

My mum thinks I'm addicted to buying coins and that I'm wasting money on them. I'm currently at 491 oz silver and 4 oz gold. My aim was to reach 500/5 and slow down a bit. I spend between £300-£500 a month, depending on eBay auctions.

>pays me £2,500 to buy 1 oz gold and 9oz silver
>cannot buy any coin whatsoever for a 5 year period

We don't live together but I'm a man of my word, so if I agree then I won't buy anything for 5 years. I'm happy with my stack and was considering slowing down anyway, and it's free money but it's also only 5-7 months of what I was going to spend anyway.

yeah i can't say i'm too surprised, most mutts have more cash than common sense. Desu you should dump it if it's worth more than it's weight in gold, it look like shit and is a mass produced crap who will never interest numisfags long term. It's prolly at peak premium rn.

Yeah - it's a taste thing. I've got the Q's B series well enough in silver, so the Tudor series has many plusses for me. I've seen the Q's B series increase in value due to some value added - whether numismatic or how collectable they are. Britannias don't appreciate a whole lot over the metal value - you've seen one, you've seen several years' worth. I fully expect the Tudors will appreciate greatly, and some critters more so than others; unicorn, griffin, dragon... and some less; greyhound, yale, plantagenet. I'm banking on the panther becoming one of the more popular.

Is there a major downside to buying shares in a Silver ETF, that holds the silver physically (instead of holding futures on silver)? I don't mind the expense ratio. Some funds literally hold the silver in vaults for you. I live in a literal closet and don't have a place to start stacking bullion.

I heard that even the Canadian Mint has its own ETF, called MNT, where if you'd like they will literally refund your ETF shares for physical bullion, with a minimum order of like 10k or something.

Thaller is a surname and a coin minted by the holy Roman empire. and $ is a similacrum and an image "derived" from the word dollar, which itself is a similacrum and perversion of the original word and name Thaller. perhaps if you knew history, you wouldn't have been enchanted by the illusionary nature of the lies.
There was an entire period of history called the inquisition wherein sorcerers, sorceress, witches, and warlocks were hunted down and dispatched.
If you observe, all of the trials to determine a witch apply to identifying counterfeit silver...
the buoyancy test, the hot iron test, ect.
The hilarious thing about your language is it's so revealing. you type g_d, feigning reverence for the devine out of one side of your mouth, then profess your fealty to another image referring to $ as "king".
Your have been weighed and been found out. Counterfeit, vein, boasting, idolatrous, slanderous, envious, and spiteful.
But I forgive you, I know what it's like to be helplessly and hopelessly decieved, to have been abused and used by those who are supposed to love and care for protect you.
Again I invite you to come and see, to reject imaginations and tortured ways of tasking for dust. to turn back to truth.

So you buy the ETF and feel comfy that you have some silver. Then, when the scam unwinds and silver scarcity becomes public knowledge and is reflected in the price, you say "never fear! I will just reclaim my silver from the ETF!". Then the ETF, which has only a fraction of the actual silver it claims, tells you to fuck off or take 10 cents on the dollar payment in rapidly burning fiat. What are you going to do? What you will do is weep impotent tears of regret that nobody will hear.
