We will get to a point where fuddies won't be able to deny the token's neededness and they will pivot to blockchain or financial services in general not being needed. They will adapt to their new environment and will not relent.

token not needed

>> No.59138038

That's cool and all, except no one uses CCIP so the fees are worthless might as well use any token.
Price feeds on the other hand? Yeah, exactly.
Token not needed after all.

Do tell anon. How was it? Not twisting the knife, unless you're making up stuff.

I remember arguing with someone here that was hell bent on sending his 5k links to bancor to "earn yield", I said something like "trust the jews at your own peril, once you sign away your linkies you may never get them back". Guess what? Im an antisemite with his LINK stack intact.

I tried to get into the Bancor pool but I was being lazy about it since I wasn't too keen on liquidity providing and dealing with impermanent loss (I didn't know much about Bancor beyond them getting Chainlink advocates to vouch for them). So when I finally looked to get in the pool, pool was closed.

Was a blessing in disguise. Saved my probably 2K link (I think I was only ready to play around with 5K link at most with DeFi).

10% at max? Holy shit. How many linkies did people lose from that protocol? I thought it was like half.

Just in case anyone was curious, this billing system is not just for CCIP but will be unified along all chainlink products once the payment abstraction layer is finalized.

Wait, does this means that every Chainlink service will have the payment abstraction layer implemented? I haven't watched yet
Price feeds
Data streams (arent this the same/replacement to above?)
Functions
VRF
CRE
CCIP

no, price feeds and data streams are 2 different products. price feeds, is just that. data streams on the other hand can include things like the liquidity of a certain asset, and also has a risk management network to determine if the quality of the asset (other than the price) has changed. basically data streams is what a tokenized rwa like real estate would use to determine if new construction was done etc.

yes they will all need to pay up lol. UNIFIED BILLING SYSTEM. UNIFIED GOLDEN RECORD. we won.

>> No.59142125

>>59141982
Just because they are different services doesn’t mean payment abstraction via CCIP 1.6 won’t be implemented into the payment mechanisms for those services.

price feeds are already subsidized and essentially made free for the rest of the industry to bootstrap and grow the industry and secure Chainlink's spot in protocols' tech stack. The bigger markets need far more than Pricefeeds. Onchain finance isn't going to bother with pricefeeds and will go for data streams since it's way faster.
