yes, XRPL AMM volume is up over 40x on the week! XRPL is no longer a ghostchain- word on the streets is that it's the next hot commodity in the digital asset ecosystem.

this is NFA (not financial advice) but it might be a good idea to start looking around for hot microcap plays- buzzwords to look out for are memecoins, socialfi, derivatives, and AI!

you heard it here first schizos. After years of scams, dumps, failed promises- we're finally truly all going to WAGMI to the moon!!

Yeah USDT is here to stay, still MiCa compliant and Europe can keep on using it next year.

So looks like RLUSD lost that battle.

The fuck... Lmao I just read SOL launched their own stable coin. So not only we have still USDT but now also a brand new stable coin. Lmao imagine if ETH now also launches a stablecoin.

It really is over for XRP/RLUSD

I was fucking hoping only RLUSD would have clarity as of next year but Tether and Sol are here to stay.

Thanks anon.
I'm not sure if this meets the requirements of MICA, or not.
I'll keep an eye out from The European Securities and Markets Authority, to see if they issue a statement on whether this meets their standards or not.
I think meeting MICA, is more than just having the funds.
I believe there are bookkeeping and transparency requirements.
Also requirements that banking institutions be involved.

I wouldn't despair yet.

Isnt it weird how they only do this now for the first time ever 2 months before they would have been banned in Europe?

>> No.59136831

I do think there is a bit of a ritual around Tether.
Right before every bull season, a news story about Tether FUD appears.
This cause some level of crash in the price of BTC.
Sometimes big; sometimes small.
This crash marks the lowest point BTC will be at; and then the bull market happens after that.
I suspect these news stories are blatant market manipulation.

I also strongly suspect that Tether is a house of cards.
They definitely have some real world assets.
But I think they are also lying about how much they have, and have been lying for years.
Tether mints new USDT out of thin air.
Who knows how much of that is actually backed by real assets.

And this isn't just the mechanism that pumps BTC.
Tether also owns US treasuries.
Tether props up the US dollar globally.
I think it's for this reason, that regulators look the other way.

At some point, when Tether is no longer useful to them, regulators will turn on Tether.
In a similar way to how the US government eventually turned on Epstein and P Diddy.
I hope that happens after the election this year, or early next year with a new Congress passing a stablecoin regulations bill.
But who knows?
Tether clearly has some powerful friends.
And I don't think it's a matter of those friends needing to be defeated.
It's more a matter of those friends deciding to abandon Tether when it suits them.

Tether literally just did an public audit for this very reason and they hold almost a 100k btc and 50tons of gold

They are solvent and mica compliant. They are here to stay probably even more so than RLUSD

>> No.59136895

I think it's time to admit defeat. Sure you can keep on being delusional and hodl, I will also still hodl some. But the gig is up. RLUSD was the last spasm from Ripple trying to stay relevant. Tether fud has just been permanently debunked. There is no new cope or meme date to look out for. There was a tiny bit of hope USDT was sketchy and was gonna be banned in Europe next year but that has been blown out of the water completely with this audit. Why the fuck would people still now use Ripple or RLUSD?

The music has stopped. Price, volume and sentiment reflect this.

Who performed the audit though?
Are they connected to The European Securities and Markets Authority?
Maybe you are right, and they are 100% legit.
I'm still going to wait and see what The European Securities and Markets Authority says.

I would prefer USDT to get delisted and RLUSD to absorb some of their liquidity.
But even without that happening, RLUSD can still grow just by being a regulatory compliant stablecoin.
Albeit at a slower rate of growth.

Once BTC gets above all time high, and stays there for a week or more, we'll see BTC dominance fade, and alt season begin.
Now, if once alt season begins (and I mean real alt season, and not a few outliers) and we have multiple alts mooning, and we're still crabbing, then yeah, that's going to fucking suck if that happens.
It's been a long and miserable hold.
But it's not over yet.
We're going to get Price Oracle on the XRPL in less than 3 days.

The MiCA regulation classifies stablecoins into electronic money tokens (EMTs) and asset-referenced tokens (ARTs).

EMTs are fiat-backed and require issuers to be authorized as electronic money institutions (EMIs) or credit institutions, maintaining liquid reserves for redemption. At least 30% (or 60% for "significant" EMTs) of these funds must be held in separate accounts.

ARTs are backed by multiple assets and need stringent oversight, including authorization and adherence to strict rules on reserve composition and risk management.

Looks like USDT will go into the ART category, RLUSD will probably go in the EMT. big difference.

If you guys want a rough meme date, I would say it's once the U.S. election is over.
Personally, I think it's all theater, without going too far into politics.
But, whoever is selected to play the role of President, signals to the public, our rulers' intent towards the larger crypto market.
Accurate or not, Republicans have become associated as the pro crypto party.

A lot of people and institutions are waiting until the elections are over, before buying.
The rub, is that we'll probably end up having to wait weeks or even months to find out who has been selected.

*puts on tin foil hat*
There is also some very interesting gematria around the elections.
If you have the time, check out this channel:
https://www.youtube.com/live/yKWPAU4eB8k

He breaks down how the Back To The Future Movies have made predictions about this specific election.
Also Guy Fawkes Day: Remember, remember the fifth of November.
The McDonalds Trump visit.
Free Masonry.
Football and WWF wrestling.
He ties it all together in a very interesting way.

I'll give you a nugget.
Trump has been using the wrestler, The Undertaker's intro music, when he appears at campaign events.
He also recently did an interview with him.
So Trump is associated with the Undertaker.
The very first match that the Undertaker had, was against a wrestler named "Kamala."
That wrestler had the last name Harris.
I shit you not.
Our reality is partially scripted.

Most xrp bagholders believe Ripple artificially manipulates the price of xrp.
Some say that it's so banks can buy xrp cheap.
Others think it's to keep xrp unattractive looking, so poor and middle class won't buy, or if they bought, then the never-ending crab encourages them to sell.

But here is a third theory.
Ripple suppressed the price in order to make xrp as unprofitable as possible to retail bagholders during the trial with the SEC.
The SEC accused Ripple of selling an unlicensed security.
If xrp had explosive price growth like ETH or Solano, it would have made many bagholders huge profits.
And given ammunition for the SEC to use against Ripple.
One of the 4 pillars of the Howey Test, on whether an asset is a security, is the expectation of profit.
But xrp performed horribly.
It not only crabbed; it underperformed against BTC.
This bad performance neutered one of the SEC's arguments in court.

Judge Torres declared that XRP is not a security, but that direct sales Ripple made many years ago, where securities.
She ordered a small slap on the wrist fine.
The SEC is not appealing whether XRP is a security.
And since they are not appealing it, it is now forever recognized as not a security.
The SEC's appeal can't overturn that, since they chose not to appeal that part.
The SEC are instead appealing the amount of the fine, and whether programmatic sales are securities or not.
Now here is the important part.
When an appeal is made, no new evidence can be legally submitted to the court.
Both Ripple and the SEC can only use the pre-existing evidence that has already been submitted from the original lawsuit, in order to argue their cases.

What this means, is that if XRP were to moon to some ridiculously high number, the SEC can't submit that as new evidence.
Therefor, if I am correct about the real reason as to why Ripple suppresses the price,
then that reason is now expired.
The only thing we are waiting on, is alt season to start.

Ripple is ensuring RLUSD is compliant with US laws. It's still probably not enough, but I'm willing to bet that's what their play and competitive difference will be.

You believe in theories but don’t think it’s possible the SEC and Ripple might be working together? What if Ripple could be buying up XRP and using the lawsuit to cover for price suppression? Linqto tweeted that Ripple purchased nearly $11 billion in XRP since the SEC lawsuit began. Blockworks also posted an article earlier, claiming they bought $8 billion worth. How legit are these claims? Ripple used to report purchases in their quarterly reports but, for "some reason", stopped in Q3 2023. If $11 billion was spent at an average price of $0.40, that’s 27.5 billion XRP, more than half of the circulating supply minus escrow. If you follow Whale Alert twitter, you’ll see multiple large XRP transactions from exchanges to "unknown" wallets on daily basis, often totaling around 30M XRP, almost nonstop, for the last couple of years. Ripple reports that they have only 5B XRP in their holdings, where do you the rest went?

The hypothetical you put forth with Elon Musk is unrealistic for a number of reasons. Not all holders are willing to sell XRP, let alone for the same price, and if bulk orders were to commence in such a fashion, then the price would be driven up significantly. The market isn't liquid enough to absorb such a large purchase without causing substantial price increases. Not to mention, there are several countries Elon Musk could buy. Elon Musk could buy one of every species of every animal on Earth. You refer to Elon Musk as "one guy" as if it matters that he's just one guy. You're not that guy. You never will be. Just got back from a 3 day ban.
The anon that reported me is a sniveling cowardly rat.
If you want to control what other people can say, you should go back to Redd!t.
I'm going to continue to make posts about politics, but only when it relates to crypto and XRP.
And I'm going to continue making conspiracy theory posts on XRP Schizo General.

If Trump is selected, Bitcoin will pump.
BTC will exceed ATH, and stays above it for a week, then BTC dominance will start to fade.
Once that happens, alt coin season starts; and shockingly XRP will participate.
If Kamala is selected, everything is going to dump; including XRP.
But, this will only be a temporary dump lasting a few a week or two.
BTC is still going to go past ATH.
But there will be more short term volatility.

Why?
Because the market will react based on perceptions of the two candidates.
But, that's only short term.
Mid and long term, the entire crypto market is super bullish.
It's not just all of the institutional adoption happening.
More and more news shows are starting to sow the seeds of Bitcoin excitement.
Michael Saylor's Microstrategy stock is the highest performing stock of the year.
It beat Nvidia.
Normies will be noticing soon, and fomoing into crypto, as soon as the election is decided.

On an unrelated note, price oracles are now live on the XRPL.

11/05/2024.
It's going to be messy.
Depending on the margin of victory for whoever wins, how much cheating occurs, how much the cheating is caught, how much the court system stops or allows the cheating, and how the media covers the cheating, It's unlikely to be resolved on that day, or even the next.
It may take days, weeks, or even months to resolve.
And our government is going to try and trick people into committing violence.
At the latest, inauguration day is January 20th, 2025.
So it has to be resolved by that day.

Also, market insiders usually manipulate crypto markets to do the opposite of what will happen, in the lead up to a major event.
So if BTC is going up beforehand, it will probably crash after the event.
If BTC is going down beforehand, it will probably go up after the event.
The lamest part of all of this, is going to be the uncertainty.
No one knows what will happen, or how long it will take to know.

I'm predicting short term volatility.
And once it's resolved, then BTC goes past all time high, stays past it for a week or more, then alt season starts; including XRP.
We just need to get past this major event.

the IBC connection with Band is great. just in the last couple days i've realized that i need to start building on the EVM sidechain and not just on core XRPL.
Inter-Blockchain Communication protocol is really important for all the EVM compatible networks who aren't owned by the ETH FDN/ConsenSYS mafia.

Looks like DIA is the method for integrating with the ETH/L2 world. which is smart.
https://www.diadata.org/about/
DIA appear to be very well-resourced and very low-profile. which makes me wonder who they are, who's connected to them and who they are aligned with. looks like they are plugged in with ETH ecosystem at very high levels.

decentralized ID, oracles, smart contracts, partnerships with infra providers, lots of functionality coming to the XRPL these days but nobody really talking about it. it's cool to see stuff going live. i wish i could fucking get some money to build stuff with it!

i don't want XRPL to do a 10-100x to buy a mansion and a lambo, i want to have enough money to pay fucking developers more than a few hours a week!
but i'm broke and no VC will give any XRPL project a second look because of the lawsuit and because Ripple is a pariah while everyone focuses on Solana and L2 defi scam bullshit so i move slowly.

all these other networks have had their tokens increase in value so their ecosystem players are more well resourced and it's easier for projects to get footing beyond just grants and hackathons and the occasional accelerator or incubator.

the end result is that projects which are more narrowly focused on value extraction end up getting funded in technologically inferior ecosystems.

there's a slow reorientation towards public goods funding (GitCoin, Nouns, Octant etc) but it's still a sliver of the attention being devoted to stuff like AI, gaming, socialFi, and most of all, scam DeFi gambling shit.

sorry for bitching i'm just frustrated that i'm not able to move faster and i'm not better at my job desu. it's been a stressful couple years and it's easy to blame my problems on the fact that i bet on the wrong horse crypto-wise because i believed a cartoon bear and got brainwashed by this damn ARG

These amendments were made as per cabinet decree no. 100 of 2024, are intended to provide further directions in the application of VAT on virtual asset transactions. The new rules will come into force on November 15, 2024, and apply with retroactive effect from January 1, 2018, which will be a big change for companies operating in the digital asset sector.

New Regulations Extend VAT Exemptions to Certain Transactions
The recent changes in the VAT laws give a clear framework for how virtual assets will be taxed, as defined by the FTA as “digital representation of value that can be traded, converted, or used for investment purposes.”

This category includes cryptocurrencies, although digital assets that are analogues of fiat money or financial instruments are not included. Prior to this, the UAE charged a 5% VAT on cryptocurrency transactions and regarded them as commercial transactions.

yeah, that was always how it was going to be, i'm just frustrated that i've been in the ecosystem for years but fumbled the bag and missed the window to develop a cool shit because i'm broke and incompetent, just in way over my head and nowhere to turn for help.

i thought at the very least my good friends Brad Chris and David would let us get a lil 10x on XRP to give us some walking around money but no, they kept their boot on our neck the entire time and made us watch the other ecosystems get their bullruns. And since XLM QNT and XDC track XRP, most of us missed out on our second/third/fourth bags too.

now the Ethereum and Solana developers will be able to come in at the end, buy the final pump with their money they made of ETH, SOL, L2s and memecoins, and take all the VC money when they bring in already-developed projects with product market fit while us losers get told to kick rocks and thanks for the liquidity.

it really does look like XRPL baggies/ARG participants were always just meant as liquidity for Ripple. early XRP adopters/devs/retail investors were intended to be manipulated by the ARG marketing campaign while Ripple built out its proprietary system.

we were literally a Potempkin Village ecosystem cloaking the rollout of a new financial system's architecture...just the dupes who actually believed the marketing.

we thought they'd at least throw us crumbs but we were wrong.

But it's not false.
Alt season starts once the election is resolved.
BTC already came extremely close to surpassing all time high, just a few days ago.
Only the uncertainty of the election is holding it back.
I don't think most people would argue with me on that.

I suspect most people in here would instead take issue with the idea that XRP will finally get to pump, along with the other alt coins.
And to that, I would point to all of the continued growth.
Not just of Ripple the company, which continues to hire new people.
But also the new features being added to the XRPL.
Ripple wouldn't be doing this, if they didn't have plans for XRP.

We're also on the cusp of Congress passing a stable coin regulation bill.
Regardless of who wins in the election.
BRICS is a serious thread to the US dollar's global dominance.
BRICS is actively preparing to use a digital form of money to circumvent US sanctions and circumventing having to use the US dollar.
At the same time, US dollar denominated stable coins, make up the overwhelming majority of global stablecoin usage.
No other countries's currency comes close in stable coin usage.
Congress is figuring out that giving their official blessing to US dollar based stable coins, is a way for America to counter BRICS attempts to make the US dollar irrelevant.
But they are running out of time.
A stable coin regulation bill will be passed within the early months of next year; at the latest.
Mark my words.

And XRP will massively pump from all of the liquidity that a stable coin will bring to the XRPL.
I don't know if I can find it anymore, but, there was an obscure quote from a Ripple employee in one of the court documents from the lawsuit;
Where someone asked the Ripple employee about a stablecoin on the XRPL.
And the Ripple employee responded that they have been avoiding creating one.
The other person asked if the reason for that, was because it would pump XRP.
And he responded yes.

Also this.
The Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) is the first comprehensive regulatory framework for the crypto industry and is set to go into full effect on Dec. 30. Under MiCA, stablecoin issuers will be required to hold at least 60% of reserve assets in European banks.

>> No.59153963

Additional info
As of the latest attestation, Tether's reserves include:
U.S. Treasury Bills (76.87%)
Cash and bank deposits (0.39%)
Money market funds (7.32%)
Commercial paper and certificates of deposit (0%)
Corporate bonds, funds & precious metals (3.67%)
Secured loans (4.95%)
Other investments (including digital tokens) (6.8%)
The secured loans and "other investments" categories may not meet the "highly liquid" criteria. The corporate bonds and funds may have longer maturities or lower ratings than required. The inclusion of digital tokens in reserves may not comply with traditional regulatory standards.
MICA: Reserve assets must be entrusted to credit institutions for custody. Assets must be fully segregated from the issuer's own assets.
Tether's current approach:
Tether likely uses a mix of custodians, including banks and possibly crypto custodians. The exact custody arrangements are not fully transparent.

The majority of Tether's reserves (about 84.58%) are in cash equivalents and short-term deposits, primarily U.S. Treasury Bills, which are fiat-based debt instruments.

Provide more detailed information about custodians and counterparties.
Reduce or eliminate holdings that don't meet "highly liquid" criteria.
Ensure all assets are held by regulated credit institutions.
MiCA may require a higher percentage of reserves in cash or cash equivalents.
Implement more frequent, comprehensive audits by approved entities.
Obtain necessary licenses and authorizations as required by MiCA. (big one)
Ensure robust, compliant processes for token redemptions.
These changes would likely require significant restructuring of Tether's current business model and operations to align with MiCA's stringent requirements for stablecoin issuers

Touché.
I usually ignore him.

His ability to post under multiple IDs greatly increases the odds of him getting replies.
He figured out a long time ago, that if he posts non stop rage bait and demoralization under one user ID, people will just ignore him.
So he has no choice, but to constantly switch between multiple IDs.
It's so cowardly and dishonest.

He fosters an environment where none of us want to answer questions.
Because there is a high probability that the person asking is just him.
So when new people come in here, we mistakenly think its him, and ignore their questions.
It also stifles genuine conversations between the other regulars in here, because you have to second guess if its a real conversation, or just him.
He's a very controlling and manipulative person.

Who would even pay him to do such a thing?
And why does he only do it here?
Why isn't he doing the same on the XRP sub-redd!t?
I think it's more likely that he's an XRP bagholder that enjoys trolling people.
He's probably a young kid with low self confidence.
So he trolls people to feel better about himself.
Troll.
Where have I heard that word before?
"Trolling outside of /b/"
That's another reason for him to switch user IDs.
If he gets banned for trolling, he can just switch to another user ID.
It's strange though.
Even though almost all of his comments are "trolling outside of /b/", they never get deleted.
And he never gets banned for them.
I wonder if he is a mod.

same thing as the first shitcoin casino to test the orderbook activity

or did you think the price action on XRPL shitcoin casino was organic?

i wonder if Ripple/RippleX did it directly or farmed it out to some firm like GSR.io
also are there any formal ties between GSR.io and Bitstamp? anyone know?

side note, did anyone else notice the only way to get OpenEden TBILL tokens on XRPL is with Bitstamp USD?

i think its a bot talking about another bot they call "spammy" who replaced the role of the "discord trannies" in /xsg/ thread lore to explain the way the thread is never allowed to die as it is continually bumped by nonsensical, low-signal high-noise posts

i assume at the beginning of the thread there were more human agents involved in this process but now it's probably nearly all automatic and done by language models/AI agents

the idea that i've spent almost 10% of my life in a 4chan thread talking to bots is almost too depressing to think about. it's bleak

I don't think it's a bot.
He just baked a new thread.
Look at the mocking demoralizing video he selected for the OP.
Definitely spammy.
He plays nice for the first 10 to 20 posts.
Then he starts switching between user IDs, so he can rage bait and demoralize.

Try it on /pol/ it goes way too fast

It's also a way to have conversations with people that you have something in common with.
Attacking people in the same boat as you, is such shitty, immature, and selfish behavior.
