someone redpill me on the Gold to Silver ratio
How come all of this be worth only half an ounce?

>> No.59046372

>>59046339
Silver is easier to manipulate than gold because more people take physical delivery on gold contracts, whereas silver contracts tend to just roll over or get sold. This results in a massive paper silver market, with some estimating that there’s 30 paper contracts for each ounce of physical, which is insane. Over the span of 50 years this paper contract market had proven to be easy to tamp down and suppress prices, which is desirable to the elites for several reasons including but not limited to making the dollar look strong in comparison to metals, allowing for cheap acquisition of industrial levels of silver, and trying to keep silver at a value that doesn’t threaten the contract system itself.

If even a tenth of the people with a paper contract right now demanded physical delivery, it would be the biggest bank run in history and would result in price spikes never seen before. The government would almost certainly get involved and call the people taking their silver “finance terrorists”.

So when do you think the market catches up to the fact that physical silver is much rarer than the paper supply and prices gonna moon?
Historically speaking whenever a Bimettal standard has been introduced the Ratio was 1 :15-20 when right now its 1:80
Same goes with Gold theres more paper Gold than physical Gold so eventually the prices for physical Metals will skyrocket once the Normies find out

Knowing that a system is unstable and knowing when it will disintegrate are two very different things. I am willing to venture that nobody knows with certainty when. Most people are oblivious. Some people are riding the edge of the doomed system trying to make some profits. A very few are preparing and wondering how long they will have to sit and wait. Best to transfer as much wealth as you can spare into metal and then not worry about the price movements. Instead, just have fun with the game of acquisition, whether it is bargain hunting, scrap hunting, finding cool coins, panning for gold, etc. Making the stacking itself interesting will make the wait easier to tolerate. Then you won't do something foolish like trading metals back into banker cum rags.

I would wager that a good majority of people who invest in silver and gold already have an ample percentage of their portfolio allocated to the stock market ponzi via 401k and Roth IRA vehicles. 5-20% of total net worth in physical is an excellent balance to anyone's portfolio along with primary residence real estate, and hefty traditional retirement vehicles.

The problem is the financial reckoning caused by runaway debt/leverage will create a bottleneck that EVERYONE gets sucked in to and a fundamental revaluation of EVERYTHING will occur. The most important lens you need to decipher what is a good investment and what is not will be an asset's exposure to credit/debt.
Bonds = debt
Real Estate = highly leveraged capital
Stocks = most of them overbought/leveraged = credit
insurance = invested in bonds = credit
social security = bonds = credit.
precious metals = capital

Historical precedent shows that anyone who held on to their gold and did not trust the banks/dollars avoided a loss of 70% of their purchasing power ($20.67 to $35 per ounce of gold).
So the standard is that everyone lost. But those with the metal actually gained wealth in that environment. And all of us about to pass through this event need to get accustomed to the idea that there will not be a V shaped recovery where you can sit in cash and then ride the collapse out and become wealthier than before. Because we will not be enjoying easy money probably for the rest of our lives. It could take decades to recapitalize the west and it will be a slow, miserable toil of depressed wages and people barely scraping buy to save a pittance before this economy really gets back up and running.
The balloon economy is going to actualize economic scarcity and there will be no reinflating the balloon. It will be musical chairs and things come screeching to a halt.
If you think that won't happen, then I would implore you to describe what the mechanism is that allows us to consume our way to prosperity on an infinite basis. That we don't need surplus and savings but bank credit is somehow enough. And if that is all it takes and there are no consequences, then let's start spending more and start taking on all sorts of new public work projects. Why not?

Precious metals are traditionally not an investment, they ARE money. Even now with it hitting ATH's Gold is just a safe place to park wealth into.

Silver is the exception to this ONLY because of certain modern factors that didn't exist 100 years ago, and only because of these factors Silver could end up being the investment of a generation.

I don't really understand the reasoning for going long on miners. If the dollar crashes and tanks the entire stock market, assuming miners dont go belly up like the rest, by the time you're selling the stock to cash out, the dollar could be worthless or well on it's way to worthless.
Are people so confident that they'll be able to time it ? Sell stock & buy PMs with profits ? Just seems very risky to me, I don't feel comfortable holding any stock for longer than 2-3 weeks right now.

Silver is only priced as low as it is because everyone has been conned into keeping their "surplus" demand tied up in a massive glut of financial assets. Not everyone will be able to "consume" this surplus they have worked so hard for. It is a fact of reality that the world's production has no capacity to make good on it and the best way to avoid the economic losses will be to own valuable & scarce assets - Silver being one of the most obvious due to its razor thin supply.

You have a suicide stack. So if you are bored, or toiling you do have wiggle room to step back and take a breather.

One anecdote I can give in 2021. Silver touched $30+ and the markets felt like they were teetering about to explode with GME & Silver short squeezes. All hell broke loose and I FOMOd into some dumb credit card purchases - Only to see silver dip down to $18 in 2022. So my scramble for a suicide stack was very bad if I was patient.
We find ourselves at the same razors edge, once again; $32 silver... Do we go to $50 or $24 from here?
The question becomes can you afford to wait? The entire system seems to hinge on tamping down silver.... Will there be another downward cycle?
Silver imports/exports seem to indicate higher demand for physical. And my personal opinion is time is running out If you have balls of steel and want to wait for $20 silver again, you will be richly rewarded.

is it actually your project? here's my thoughts as someone who understands jack shit about betting

- design looks a little "unfinished", to my mind it has the vibe of a self built site, like those web 1.0 personal page type affair, which i find charming, but to normies it might look scammy, it lacks the sheen and polish of something "corporate". also the colors are very muted, a lot of betting sites will use intense vibrant colors. people who bet are after excitement, which bright colors communicate quite well. you can hire some poojeet web designer on sites like fiverr or 99design for basically nothing, might be worth considering if you want higher visitor retention.
- i would pack "how to play", "our vision", and "premium" into the top navigation bar (certainly for visitors on desktop); a lot of people wont scroll down unless they're already interested, and people new to betting will just look at the page and be like "yea idk what this is, peace out", rather than being able to immediately click "how to play"
- logo is meh
- hope this helps

I’m really hoping gold will dip a few hundred again in the next year. Stacking my wage papies for some. Alternatively there’s silver, and I’ve become autistic about every coin I receive in change. EVERYTHING gets checked for minting errors. It’s gotten that bad lol. I spend several hours a week researching numismatic shit and staring at coins with a magnifier. Hi guys, you folks gave me the PM bug a couple years ago and started stacking. I like to lurk here and occasionally participate. I'd like to ask some advice from this general for something off topic but, I'd like to anyway because I am a stacker, I think the views here are more often than not reasonable and balanced, and I am trying to start a business and /biz/ is pretty much a shit place only talking about shitcoins.

Onward - I have a residential IT support business that specializes in catering to the needs of older folks, 55+. You know, old people that don't know how to get back into their gmail, needing help setting up wifi, simple stuff that trips them up.

I am in the South GA-North FL area so you have an idea of location. I want to advertise $175 flat rate for all house calls, with the caveat that if the job is outside the scope of what is worth $175, I'd let them know before I begin work for their approval.

The things old people need help with often takes little time. So I think, $175 for staying there 90 minutes max is good money. If I see the job will take more than 2 hours then I can say, "well this job is a $215 job or whatever". Or just take the hit because other jobs took less time so it works out in the end and keep customers happy.

So the question is, is $175 a fair price for me and the potential customer? That is me considering that each job won't take more than 90 minutes. Some pay, others not, so it balances out (that's what I say).

If I do 3 measly jobs a day like this I'm making $500+ a day, or ~$130k a year. Not bad I say. I don't care that some boomers are stingy. Whatever, there is money out there to be made. I just would like some feed back on the $175 flat rate per job figure. Good, or less, or perhaps more? Please advice saaaars.

>> No.59051718

>>59051677
80 bucks per hour is fair price. also install teamviewer in their PC so you don't have to go to your customer's houses next time they need something. be professional and keep an excell with relevant data of each customer: what was the job about, IP addresses, passwords, how much you charged them, etc. good luck.

That would be cool. They call for help, I remote in, fix the issue, then email them an invoice they can pay online.
Now I need to find a vendor that does email invoices that can be paid online via special link.
Actually i was thinking to just accept cash or check. Maybe I'll send them an invoice via snail mail they can reply with a bank check.
Thanks man.
